March 30
Happy 8th birthday to Nick and happy 6th birthday to Kendra! We had the Pearson's and Howard's all over to our house for a family party tonight. Unfortunately, it was snowing outside (welcome spring) so we were stuck indoors. It was crowded but fun and the kids got a lot of wonderful gifts!

March 29
It's been a great day! I got to go birthday shopping for the kids with Grandma Howard all morning and then Simon got Real Salt Lake tickets for tonight. We made it a date night with dinner at La Hacienda then on to this awesome game where we closed it out with a 3-0 lead!

March 28
We had a ward party tonight and I happened to be on the committee. It was a "Family History Adult Dinner". I was mostly in charge of decorations and (sort of) advertising. We were low in numbers but it was a good time.

March 27
I am now 27 weeks. Time seems to be flying and standing still at the same time. I can't believe how big my belly already is! I'm "baby-stepping" to June!

March 26
Being productive is so overrated when you are in the middle of a good book! The movie "Divergent" just came out in theaters and I really want to go see it with Amie (who has also read the book) so I'm plowing through it. Pair that with some homemade mac & cheese for lunch and say good-bye to a couple hours of the afternoon! :)

March 25
Simon had the day off as a comp day for having to work this upcoming Saturday. We made the best of our time together. We started out by getting much needed new tires for the van, dropped Kendra off at dance, then ran to Sam's Club for lunch and shopping. Later, Dave &Viv came over for dinner. Dave and Simon worked on the basement and Viv stayed to watch "Frozen" with the kids and I.

March 24
So this is me at labor and delivery. I keep feeling little "gushes" (sorry to be graphic) so I went to make sure I wasn't leaking amniotic fluid. Only being 26 weeks, that would be bad so I just wanted to get checked out. After 3 hours and some tests, I'm fine. No worries.

 March 23
This is how we do Sundays. My mom posted a super cute hairdo on Facebook so Kendra and I tried it out. It's actually harder than it looks to make them all tight and even. At church, Zacky fell asleep in my arms during sacrament and then slept all through Sunday school and part way into Relief Society.

March 22
Viv and I threw a baby shower for Ashley. It was really a lot of fun! We're excited to welcome their sweet baby to the world in the next month (her due date is exactly one month away, April 22).

March 21
Amie's good friend Susan was in town for just a few short hours on Friday. Amie goes on a girl's trip with her and their other friend Danny every year and I have always wanted to meet both of them. I got invited to lunch with them and truly enjoyed meeting Susan and her adorable kids.
The movie "Frozen" came out on DVD on Tuesday so of course, I couldn't resist getting it for Kendra for her birthday. Friday night, the kids were begging us to go to Redbox and get it so we could watch it. Simon and I decided to go ahead and give sis an early birthday present. They were so happy, all three of them were jumping up and down with excitement. We may or may not have watched it SEVERAL times in a 24-hour period!

March 20
I don't have a lot to show for my day but I did manage to get Ashley's baby shower gift done and ready to go. I made her a car seat cover with a matching car seat blanket. They were so much fun to make, I might make myself one for baby sister. I also finished most of my preparations for her shower.

March 19
I had to take a picture of my vacuum. Simon gets it out to vacuum and then I find it like this when he's done. Last time this happened, I left it out to see how long it took him to put it away. After more than a week, I couldn't stand to look at it any longer! When I asked him why he does that, he said that he means to vacuum other rooms but then just doesn't get to it. I've learned to just put it away when he's done with it. Problem solved!

March 18
I updated this picture. It was previously a terrible picture of the curtains with my naked baby standing in front of the tub (without me realizing my baby was naked). We finally put up the new curtains in my bathroom and I got a decent picture! Yay!

March 17
Happy St. Patrick's Day! This is my family sporting some serious green before school/work today.

March 16
We had a great Sunday! Church was wonderful. It was our ward conference so we got to hear from the stake presidency and other stake leaders. Kenny got an overnight stay at my parent's so he was able to come to family dinner tonight. Yay! Plus, I went with mom to take him back so I got to finally see where he lives. It is a really nice place.

March 15
BJ & Simon went to a concealed weapons class tonight so Jenni and I decided to hang out. She is helping me make a gift for Ashley's baby shower. Bonus, mom and Kenny came for about an hour with pizza! It was a very fun evening!!

March 14
Holy Birthday Batman! We had 6 little boys over today and had Nick's 8th birthday party. It was really fun and turned out great. I am so grateful that Nick has lots of friends in our neighborhood and a close relationship with his cousins. Fun times!!!

March 14...extension
Kendra had a "Moms, Muffins, Milk, & Me" day at school. I got to go hang out with this cutie for about an hour. We played games, colored pictures of each other, and of course, ate muffins and drank milk. My favorite part was when she was supposed to say something about me and she said, "I love my mamma"!

March 13
This boy loves trains! He is excited to get his own room because I told him that once he does, we can bring the trains upstairs for him. For now, he goes in the basement and carries as much up as he can and then plays with them for hours.

March 12
Tomorrow is Viv's birthday so we went to our usual, Las Glorias, for dinner. It was a fun surprise...we found out we were going about an hour before we went. Happy birthday Grandma Pearson!

March 11
We've had beautiful weather for the past two or so weeks so it was annoying waking up to this! My poor parents woke up on their ship, put t-shirts and shorts on, then flew home. They were in for a rude surprise when the temp was around 36 here at home. It's nice to have them back though!

March 10
It's Sunday. I normally love the weekends but now that I love Jimmy Fallon too, the weekends are kind of long. Good thing my friend Amie keeps me stocked with awesome photos of Jimmy like this one. I can't help but laugh when I look at it!

March 9
My parent's dogs are the sweetest little things. In fact, they are so sweet, they brought us a thank-you gift for taking care of them while the parents are away. Yep...it's a dead bird. On the floor. In the house. That they killed. Once again, thank heaven for husbands and the things they do for us squeamish wives!

March 8
Kenny got another "day pass" from his recovery center so we were able to be with him all day. Jenni picked him up around 1:00 pm and he stayed with us until 7:00. We started at mom & dad's so that he could see and play with the dogs. We then headed to Trafalga Fun Center in Lehi. It was really fun and a completely free activity with our Pass of All Passes. After we played for a while, we met up with our husbands at Las Glorias for dinner. Yum! It was so fun to be with Kenny again and talk to him in even more depth about his treatments. We love our "Special K".

March 7
When we went on our Alaska cruise, I made my family listen to a book on CD, "Austenland". It was recently made into a movie. I saw it in the theater on a girl's night out but I have been dying to have Simon see it too. We finally rented it tonight and sat to watch it. It is hilarious! We really enjoyed it. Plus, I got my embroidery done for a Relief Society project they asked us to work on. Win-win!

March 6
Happy birthday Nick!! I can't believe I have an 8-year-old! I surprised Nick with his favorite dinner: "cook your own steak" (more commonly known as fondue), homemade fries, asparagus, and rolls. For dessert we had chocolate fondue and a bunch of goodies to dip in it. We had Dave & Viv over to enjoy our fun night with us. The fondue pot and huge table are the perks of staying at my parent's while they are out of town!

March 5
My sweet neighbor, Andrea Child, took a bunch of pictures of Nick for his baptism at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. She is an amazing photographer! We were very lucky to get this time with her and her beautiful daughter (who is my newest Activity Day girl), Sescily. Sescily's birthday is March 7.

March 4
This is me. I am 24 weeks pregnant. I look 38 weeks pregnant. I feel 42 weeks pregnant. I guess I'm still smiling so that's a good sign. I hope I can survive another 16 weeks!

March 3
I got a new visiting teaching route. I am sad to lose the ladies that I visited before but I have actually had a really hard time getting out and doing it since we moved. I am beyond excited to get to know my new partner, Jessie Price, and the three ladies that we will be visiting. I think this new arrangement will be a great change.

March 2
My family is staying at my parents' house while they are on vacation. We are taking care of the doggies and birdies. Simon didn't stay with us last night (our first night) because he wanted some uninterrupted time to work on the basement at home. He got a lot done and I had fun watching "Shrek" with the kids. When I got up and came out, all three kids were sitting on the couch playing nicely together. We did okay without Simon but as you can see, I think the dogs prefer to have him here. Is Daisy smiling?

March 1
Today was a really big day. Kenny got a "day pass" from the center he is staying in. Since mom and dad left for their cruise today and couldn't spend this time with him, mom sent us to Olive Garden for linner (that's lunch/dinner). It was so nice to get to talk to Kenny about his progress, what he is learning, and how he is finding God through this difficult trial. He has put on over 20 pounds in the 22 days he has been there! He looked GREAT and we are very hopeful that he's going to be okay and put this whole nightmare behind him. Until then, we'll just keep loving and praying for him.

February 28
Mom is leaving us! Well, only for 10 days but still... We decided that a girl's date to Kneader's was in order. Funny enough, I haven't been to Kneader's since girl's trip in October but I went on Wednesday and Friday this week! We had a very fun breakfast with the crew then Jen had to get home to babysit her other kiddos. Mom came over to my house and we made the valence for my bathroom that has been in the works for about a month now. They are so cute! I plan to take a pic of them once we are able to find the right curtain rod to hang them with. I am going to miss my parents while they're away but I'm glad they get to go on another fun adventure.

February 27
Look, it's Jimmy Fallon Amie and Justin Timberlake Heather!! Inside joke but really, I love my BFF. I am blessed to be to super close to my mom, my sister, and have a friend that feels like a sister to me. I have the best support system a girl could ever ask for! Amie came over with her lunch and ate at my bar. Subsequently, my bar's name is "Pieces". Not "Puzzles" like you would think from the popular show How I Met Your Mother. (This post is for you Ames!)

February 26
I could kick myself for not getting a pic at brunch today! Erin Coles, Regina Campbell, and I went to brunch at Kneader's today. We've been trying to get together for a while now but it just hasn't happened. I simply adore the girls in my ward and know that the Lord guided us here for many reasons but I'm sure making these friends was a big part of it. I have felt nothing but love and acceptance in my ward and each week when I'm looking for a seat in Relief Society, I know I can sit anywhere and have a friendly face next to me. I'm excited to get to know them even better!
