Tuesday, October 28
Today was super busy. Grandma Sharon came at 11:00 to get her nails done and we had lunch together. Zack, Ricki, and I left at 1:45 to go to Ricki's 4-month well-check. It went awesome! She's 15 lbs 25" long and is tall and large for her age. :) On the way home, we stopped at Ward's Carpet Outlet to shop for carpet (we just need to get it ordered already!!). We made it home in just enough time to get Nick to scouts by 4:00. I put together a canning list so I can can tomorrow then picked him up at 5:00. At 5:30, I took Kendra to gymnastics and bought canning groceries while she was there. We got home at 7:15, ate dinner, then our home teachers came at 8:00. It has been busy! But it's been a great day and this was a fun way to end our evening!

Monday, October 27
I finally finished one of my two "Souper Saturday" projects that I missed a few weeks back. It was fun to work on it and I'm glad it's done!

Sunday, October 26
Dinner tonight was at Grandma and Jim's. I love Sunday dinners! In preparation for their upcoming cruise, mom wanted me to do her nails so after dinner, we did them.

Saturday, October 25
The basement is ALMOST done! I seriously just cannot wait! I'm almost to my limit of waiting for it. Anyway, here is some progress being made in Kendra's room. We went carpet shopping too. Baby steps...

Friday, October 24
When everyone else in our family gets sick, they get over it. When this sweet girl gets sick, she ends up at the doctor's office and thankfully not the hospital. She threw up and felt miserable all day yesterday. Today, she woke up having trouble breathing and with a nasty cough. I rushed her in. Sure enough, her oxygen saturation level was between 88-90% (90 is the extreme low end of normal), her heart rate was high, and her blood pressure was high. Plus, she was feverish. After a chest x-ray, several popsicles to try to hydrate her without an IV, a hefty breathing treatment, and a couple hours of observation, she went home a much happier girl. Another shout-out (again) to Jenni for taking my other 3 kids last-minute so I could take her. Thanks Jen!!

Thursday, October 23
When the cat's away, the mice will play! Simon had his annual "Leadership Retreat" so I invited some friends over. I had mom, Jenni, Marisa Olsen, Heather Roberts, Tauni Shields, Erin Coles, Jessica Bowles, and Amie come. We just had a project/visiting/treats girl's night out and I loved every minute of it!

Wednesday, October 22
Free Chick-Fil-A again (and probably again next week too!). The kids and I went and enjoyed our free sausage biscuits. We had a really fun day being together and hanging out doing crafts at Jenni's house. I'll be sad when they go back on track on Monday.

Tuesday, October 21
I'll admit, I slept in. But Zack and Kendra got up early and decided to make a bed of blankets on the floor in the family room and watch a movie. They were so cute and cuddly, I had to grab a photo.

Monday, October 20
We went to lunch at mom's and she had the most amazingly yummy soup. She had me stop by after bowling and pick up the rest of it for our dinner tonight. Yum! Kendra did a fun little project. She made a foam pumpkin necklace with beads. I love having a girly-girl!

Sunday, October 19
Ryan and I were playing with Ricki's hair and he snapped this picture. Look at those squishy cheeks and the teepee on her head! :)

Saturday, October 18
Simon & I worked on the basement tonight so when I went out to get dinner (our Saturday tradition), I also got a Redbox movie, "Rio 2". We put it on for the kids then went and sanded the trim in the kids' rooms. Simon will touch up the paint on the trim, paint the Wayne's coat, and then we are ready for carpet. We just need to find the time to go out carpet shopping now.

Friday, October 17
I am a nervous wreck every time Kendra leaves the house. I just never know who might give her food or candy or when she'll have her next allergic reaction. Thanks to a generous donation by my mom, I ordered two medical alert ID's. This is her necklace and she also got a silicone kids bracelet. Now if ever I send her to a friends house, I'll feel better knowing she's got these reminders on her body and they'll know not to give her peanuts or nuts of any kind. I am also working on either making or buying a Epi Med pouch for her to wear her EpiPen all the time.

Thursday, October 16
Even though we had a semi-busy day getting ready for and then hosting Bunco, we took a super fun break at Chick-Fil-A with Grandma Sharon for lunch. I LOVE my grandmas and the time we are able to spend with them. They are a really big reason that we still live in Salt Lake and not St. George. I just can't live without my grandmas.

Wednesday, October 15
Okay, so this is a horrible picture. Maybe I'll try to get a better one another day. I found a bed set on KSL for Nick - who is ready to be done with his car bed (tear). I got a bed and night stand for $125 which is about half of what it goes for at Ikea. Then, I was browsing KSL for dressers today and saw this for only $75. Again, that is half what it costs in the store so I quickly called on it to find that I was third in line. However, she said it is first come, first serve and the other first-in-line person couldn't be there for 45 minutes. Lucky for me, I live 9 minutes away from this gal's house. I ran over in the truck, paid for it, loaded it up, and it's ours now. I am excited to get Nick's room all situated and ready to go.

Tuesday, October 14
Every year, Jenni is invited with the neighborhood preschool group to go enjoy Cornbelly's on "Field Trip Day". She always invites us and the kids are always off track. Plus, it only costs $3 to get in so it's become a fun annual tradition. We spent about 5 hours walking around and hanging out with Jenni and her kids. Thanks Jen for such a fun day!
After Cornbelly's, we dropped a wig off to Jami (Grove) Glines for her little Cabbage Patch baby. My mom made her a wig too when she saw on Facebook how cute Ricki's was. Aren't they the cutest things you've ever seen?!?! Like...EVER?!?!? :)

Monday, October 13
Sadly, the most awesome thing that happened to me today was the 188 bowling score I got on our second game. Check out Vicki's game too!

Sunday, October 12
Poor Jen had a rough night. I asked her to "pass" the mustard, she threw it (naturally), and it hit Grandma Howard in the head. Poor grandma but poor Jen too! Then she knocked over her water at dinner, dropped her brownie on the floor, had to scour the playroom from Brielle's escapade with a marker, and then got home to have Brielle throw up all over. I think she jinxed herself by wearing Utah pants and a BYU jacket! :)

Saturday, October 11
Simon is pushing really hard to get these darn rooms done. He got the baseboards all sprayed and ready to put up. Once the base is all on, the Wayne's coat needs to be done, then carpet, blinds, hang doors, install closet organizers and voila! time for kids to move in!! (Can't wait!)
Saturday night, we went out to dinner at Red Robin, to a movie called "Meet the Mormons", and dessert for a Cazookie at The Chocolate Dessert Café with the Merrill's. It was so much fun!

Friday, October 10
We had a busy day helping Jenni get ready for a garage sale. It was fun being there with the McCullough's and going through all the clothes, toys, etc. And doesn't Ricki Jane look cute? She's wearing her new leg warmers.

Thursday, October 9
We had a great at-home day. All 4 kids got bathed, the house got cleaned, I got a lot of computer work done, laundry...so much can be accomplished with a full day at home!

Wednesday, October 8
I finally got my centerpiece done for Halloween. It's been a welcome baby centerpiece for so long, I am happy it looks a little different.
So this is a horrible picture of the kids but Chick-Fil-A is doing free breakfast every Wednesday morning in October from 6-10 am so we met the McCullough's and Adam Herendeen there and enjoyed breakfast together. It was a madhouse but fun to be there together.

Tuesday, October 7
What to do after flu shots (well, flu mist) while Kendra is in gymnastics? Go to McDonald's, order drinks, and play for an hour. Fun with my 3 littles while relaxing with a Diet Coke.

Monday, October 6
We had our fun annual pumpkin patch family night. We love going to the Maybe's farm and selecting pumpkins for the upcoming holiday. I also got extra pumpkins for our kitchen table centerpiece. The McCullough's, Muffett's, Howard's, and us had pizza at my parents' house then Kenny met us at the patch for pumpkin-picking and pictures. I love October!

Sunday, October 5
Look at Rickelle's cute new towel mom made her. Isn't she a doll?!? This weekend was General Conference and we sure enjoyed listening and watching these last two days.

Saturday, October 4
Kayla is having a baby! Yay! Mom, Jenni, and I went to her fun baby shower for baby Finn...due in 3-4 weeks. This sweet peanut is Nikki's baby, Saylor. She weighs less than Ricki and is about a month older than her.

Friday, October 3
Putting up Halloween decorations has been on my "to-do" list for about a week now. In honor of the first day of off-track, we finally got the décor out and got it done. I really love the Halloween season. It is one of my favorite holidays.

Thursday, October 2
My Facebook post: "Just Chillaxin' with Kyle Beckerman. What are you doing tonight?" We had the amazing opportunity to go to the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce Titan Awards. It is a black tie dinner and they award 3 very deserving honorees with this award for outstanding community service and support. We were able to meet Kyle Beckerman of Real Salt Lake, Governor Gary Herbert, and Greg Miller, CEO of the Larry H. Miller Companies. It was elegant and so much fun!

Wednesday, October 1
While I did Viv's nails and collected a Scentsy basket party, Simon had all of his deacons over to start their biking merit badge. It was a crazy night... We had a gourmet dinner of Kraft Mac n' Cheese at 8:15! Busy, busy.

Tuesday, September 30
Nick's cute scout leaders were released on Sunday and he will be getting new leaders. This is Heather Doman and Kristi Sivertson (Andrea Child wasn't at this activity but she was also released). I am so thankful to them and all they have done for Nick. He's had a little anxiety this year with certain activities but they've really been there for him and helped him through it all. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love my ward! It really does feel like a family.
