Aug 22-28

Monday, August 22 - I was at the library with my kids when mom texted this picture to me. I started crying right there in the middle of the library! Poor little Kam! :*( He was at his grandpa's house and pulled a snow globe down right on his face. He got 5-6 stitches. Katie was at work so they called Kenny and he rushed to the hospital to hold his little boy while they stitched up his face. So sad!

Tuesday, August 23 - The start of something new...clean eating! This was Simon's lunch! This is day 1 and we are determined to change some bad habits we've gained. I'm very glad he is doing this with me! It's motivating!! Also motivating was vomiting everything in my stomach today. :( I think I got food poisoning so eating was NO temptation for me today! Haha!

Wednesday, August 24 - We had a school supply drive with the Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary. A teacher from an under privileged school came and spoke to us then we sorted and organized the donations. The goal was to get 80 of each item but we surpassed that by at least double of most things. As far as books, I think there were several hundred! It was wonderful!

Thursday, August 25 - Nothing like waiting until the night before a book report is due to start working on it! Luckily, Nick read the book far in advance. We just hadn't put his project together yet which was a shirt with a drawing representing the book he read. He read "I Survived the Attack of September 11, 2001". I wanted him to read it to get an understanding of what happened. Especially with the 15-year milestone coming right up. It was really great talking to him about what happened while we worked on his shirt. And it turned out way better than I had imagined! It's just Sharpie marker, black, and gray acrylic paint. Believe it or not, he really did most of the work himself!

Friday, August 26 - Nick has another school project due next week. Yes, I think his teacher is trying to kill me! :) He and Wil Christensen teamed up to do service at the local nursing home. They went for a couple of hours a few weeks ago and read to the residents. Yesterday they got together to bake cookies then today they took them around to the people. Everyone was so sweet and so happy to see the kids' bright smiling faces. He is gaining so many valuable experiences!

Saturday, August 27 - I don't know exactly how I feel about this picture! I guess I'm glad that the boys went out and did something super fun together. All of the McCullough and Pearson boys went out to the West side of Utah Lake to go shooting. They had a blast! Bonus: us girls went to lunch with my parents! Las Glorias was SOOO good after a week of healthy clean eating! :)

Sunday, August 28 - We did our annual Silver Lake picnic. It was simply beautiful up there! We had lots of fun as a family. I really do love this tradition...once we get there. ;)

Aug 15-21

Monday, August 15 - We are running out of fun Mondays with Mom & Jenni! Today, we were going to go swimming but the weather was really bad! We decided to head over to Thanksgiving Point instead. Luckily, I get anyone that comes with me in for half price so it wasn't too expensive for everyone. The littles had a blast playing at the Curiosity Museum. I have been begging Nick to pull his tooth out! His new one is half way out but his old one was still hanging on. He was pushing it around with his tongue tonight and it suddenly just popped out! I was a happy mommy! :)

Tuesday, August 16 - My cute grandparents take me out to lunch every other week or so. We normally go to Chick-Fil-A but we wanted to do something different today. I had never been to Ruth's Diner in Immigration Canyon so we went there. It was super yummy and had a great atmosphere! I think I'll be going back sometime. It was lots of fun!!

Wednesday, August 17 - Before and after. I have been bugging Simon lately to put handles on my cupboards. I finally went to Home Depot, got everything he needed, and set it all on the counter. Just like that, it was done! And I LOVE THEM! It added so much to our kitchen and it is so nice to open the cupboards with handles than without!

Thursday, August 18 - I am trying with all my might to put together clothes for our family pictures. It's so hard matching everyone but not having everyone too matchy-matchy. I love Pinterest for ideas but then I have to find clothes to match the colors I like. I think I'm getting closer to what I want though.

Friday, August 19 - My entrepreneur, Nick, sent out invitations asking friends to come to a movie in his new "theater". He made me buy candy and separate it into small cups to sell to his friends for $.50 each. I was embarrassed to ask friends to pay but it was cute that Wil and Dylan came to support.

Saturday, August 20 - It was our annual Boehme reunion! They did it at a nice little park in South Jordan. It was very fun and the kids won all sorts of candy and prizes. I am always hesitant to go to these because I don't know the Boehme's very well but once we were there, I was glad we went!

Sunday, August 21 - Ryan carried Henry into the house against him. I didn't think much of that but when Ashley B-lined for the bathroom, I figured it out! She's pregnant!!!! It took Viv a minute to read his shirt but once she did, it was fun to see everyone's response! Henry is going to be a big brother! Yay!!!! We are so excited for more cousins!

Aug 8-14

Monday, August 8 - First of all, today was our 13th wedding anniversary. My how time flies! Secondly, we had another parade day. How cute would these little Mickey Mouse heads be in my M.M. bathroom?!?

Tuesday, August 9 - Today was the last first day of preschool this guy will ever have! He is going to Mountain Side Preschool with Miss Angie again. We love her! These are his cute little friends in his class this year. They are all the same as last year except for Eli who has moved on to Kindergarten. :)

Wednesday, August 10 - Zacky may monopolize the pictures for this week! He had a nasty fall on his bike. My stomach was hurting so I was lying on the couch watching TV and playing on my phone when all of a sudden, my neighbors (Lars and Amy Erickson) carried my screaming boy in. He was gushing blood from his mouth and screaming! He was complaining that his knee hurt so bad, I thought maybe he'd broken it. Alas, he had not, It was just a nasty scrape and bruise to his knee. His teeth and lips, however, didn't fare so well. We couldn't figure out where the bleeding was coming from so we were just soaking it up with paper towels. Once it finally stopped, we realized that he had several scratches and cuts all over both lips (although the top took the brunt of it) and he was also bleeding from his gums. He knocked his front two teeth loose and I ended up taking him to the dentist because his teeth were so sore. Yep, both teeth are dead and turning gray. :( The most awful thing to me was that his teeth had road rash on them. He actually sanded his teeth on the pavement with the impact. The dentist had to scrape bits of sand out of cracks in his teeth. The whole thing was just horrible. I am so thankful though that he didn't need any stitches and for now, he gets to keep his teeth.

Thursday, August 11 - I can't believe how quickly and well he is healing. His top lip stayed swollen for a few days but the scrapes had scabbed up by morning and within a couple of days, you never would have known he fell!

Friday, August 12 - Girls day...again!! We ran a bunch of errands which included a Scentsy errand on 4500 S. State. Right there on the corner is a buffet called Chinese Gourmet. None of us had ever been so we went there. Oh man! It was SO good!!! The only problem was that we were stuffed full walking around the houses. I love every moment I have hanging out with these two!

Saturday, August 13 - Our family went with MACU's lending department to the SL Bee's game. It was so fun! They even bought us dinner from the concessions there. We had lots of fun watching the game and visiting with all of Simon's work friends.

Sunday, August 14 - Happy 12th birthday Trevan! We went to church with the McCullough's today to see Trevan receive his Faith In God award as well as receive the Aaronic Priesthood. We are so proud of him and the choices he's made to get to this point.

Aug 1-7

Monday, August 1 - Kendra had another allergy appointment. It's funny, every single appointment we go to, the doctor always reiterates how allergic she is to peanuts. I continually hear the words "deadly allergic". This doc finally explained it to me. Any number from 0-17.5 means they are either not allergic to moderately allergic to the allergen (in this case peanuts). Kendra scored 112. This doctor said he has rarely ever seen it over 100 and maybe has never seen it this high before. Awesome! Of course, that's my kid! Go big or go home! :) She also suffers from a pretty serious case of asthma. In fact, she was not sick at this appointment nor has she been in the past couple of weeks but her lung function was so low, they gave her a nebulizer treatment. I don't know if I'm equipped to handle all of this! Poor darling!

Tuesday, August 2 - I have been searching for chalk pencils to be able to write cute stuff on the chalkboard I made in MOPS a couple of years ago. I finally found one at Hobby Lobby! I've asked before but apparently, there is only one gal over there that knows what she's talking about. :)

Wednesday, August 3 - Ryan and Ashley are on trek right now so we had Henry. He wasn't super happy to leave Dave & Viv's house and his Aunt Alexis but I promised a good time at the movies. He was laser focused on the movie and happy as could be while it was on. However, as you can see from his little face in this picture, he wasn't too thrilled when the show ended! We still enjoyed our fun time with our Henry boy while we had him.

Thursday, August 4 - It's Parade of Homes time again! Yay! Where else can you find signs in homes that basically sum up how you always feel?!?! Haha! (I wish that was the real reason I was late places!)

Friday, August 5 - I spent lots of hours putting together some props and things for the Muffett Family Reunion. My bedtime after making these things was 2:00 am. It was worth it though! I was happy how they turned out.

Saturday, August 6 - Well, our family reunion was a bit of a bust. The stupid Utah Tour bike race closed the canyon for a few hours the day of our reunion. Because of that, people that came early left early so that they wouldn't get stuck up the canyon. People that came a bit later got stopped by the police at the mouth of the canyon and were not allowed up. We spent so much time and money on this dang reunion, it was frustrating that it happened! Oh well, us gals had lots of fun planning it anyway.

Sunday, August 7 - Today was sweet Finley's baby blessing. Gary gave a beautiful blessing then they threw a super fun luncheon afterward for the family. It was a perfect day!
