Feb 17 - 23

Monday, February 17 - Simon has tried out about 4 different sets of tires and wheels (okay, maybe not THAT many) and finally settled on these ones. He has worked so hard on this truck and has finally made it his own.

Tuesday, February 18 - I'm sure I've already talked about how much I love my job and working with Liz and Marisa. We frequently send little funny memes and jokes to one another. This is one that Marisa sent to us and I thought it was hilarious! I could definitely relate! 🤣

Wednesday, February 19 - After working and Cafe Rio lunch, I got ready for our fun Young Women's activity tonight. We did "Iron Chef" so we split the group into two and half came to my house. They were given random ingredients and had to come up with a meal to make out of them. They did a really good job! They used red potatoes, onions, peppers, eggs, and tortillas to make breakfast burritos and did a side of toast with cinnamon and sugar on them. I was extremely impressed at how well these young girls did with the task they were given! I love Young Women's!!

Thursday, February 20 - Well, we did it. We are both now members of Costco...again! 😂

Friday, February 21 - First thing this morning, this cute daddy took 3 of his 4 kids to the elementary school for "Donuts with Dad". They had a good time. Tonight, we met up with these great friends to celebrate Jeremy's 40th birthday! We did something that neither of us had ever done - axe throwing! It's really actually fun! I was nervous to do it at first but I got pretty good at it after a while. It was such a fun evening!

Saturday, February 22 - Nick had his last basketball game with his quorum this morning so I peeled myself out of bed and went to watch him. :) He did pretty well considering that he's never played basketball before. Then tonight, we met up with Dave, Viv, and Uncle Gary at Red Robin for dinner. It's really been so fun getting to know him. I'll be sad when he goes back home in a few weeks.

Sunday, February 23 - We had dinner in mom and dad's new addition! It is SOOOO nice to have all that extra room! It was such a great way to add so much more room to their dining area. I'm happy for them that is is almost done! House projects like this are always so much work and cause a huge mess but really great when they're done!

Feb 10 - 16

Monday, February 10 - Wahoo, no cavities again at the kids' dentist appointment! In 13 years of having kids, we haven't had one cavity yet! 🥳🥳🥳 An exciting thing happened today. Dave's brother, Gary, flew in from England. He is staying here for four weeks! We didn't want to stay too long but we did go over for a while to meet him and sample some of the very many treats he brought for us! Gary is great! He loved the kids and the dogs. We are very excited to get to know him better.

Tuesday, February 11 - Tonight was a special Young Women's activity. The stake puts on a dinner each year for anyone that earns their young womanhood medallion. Since the Personal Progress Program has now come to an end, this is their final year doing this. It was really great being there and hanging out with my main gal!

Wednesday, February 12 - After working and our every week tradition of lunch at Cafe Rio, mom came over to get her nails done. She hasn't gotten them done in well over a month (since before her cruise) so it was definitely time! Aren't her Valentine's nails so cute?!?

Thursday, February 13 - This was an impromptu breakfast date with mom and Jen. Mom is in the middle of an addition/remodel to her home and she needed some help making a decision on the direction that the island is facing. Jenni and I came over first thing this morning, gave her our advice, then she treated us to breakfast at Kneader's. Love these gals so so much!

Friday, February 14 - I couldn't decide which pictures to include for today so...you get them all! :) At school on this lovely Valentine's Day, Kendra had her 6th grade dance and I volunteered for Zack's party. This afternoon, dad stopped by and surprised me with a paint night (to be used with Jenni, mom, and Katie). Then tonight, Kendra had cute McKell over and they hung out and ate heart-shaped pink pancakes while Simon and I went to a neighborhood party hosted by the Mortensen's. It was lots of fun starting out with Panda Express catering and ending with several fast-paced games of pickleball. We all had a really great Valentine's Day! 💕

Saturday, February 15 - Our sweet little Zacky boy has been asking for weeks if we could go to KFC for their "gravy bowl". We finally gave in and went there. He loved this bowl of mashed potatoes, corn, popcorn chicken, and gravy! Silly kid!

Sunday, February 16 - It was a Pearson reunion! Everyone came to dinner tonight at Dave and Viv's. Great Uncle Gary bought us all pizza then we sat and visited for a couple of hours. Gary is a delight to be around! Really, so much fun getting to know him!

Feb 3 - 9

Monday, February 3 - Of course, the storm of the season hit today! Our biggest photo shoot of the season! Luckily, Liz doesn't mind driving in the snow and we made it just fine. Unfortunately, two of our models cancelled but that felt minimal for how bad the roads were. About an hour before we wrapped things up, I started to get a headache. We stopped for lunch at Protein Foundry and by the time we got home, my head hurt so bad I was about crawling out of my skin. I took a migraine med but I think it was too late to catch it. I ended up throwing up and being simply miserable for the whole night.

Tuesday, February 4 - Although I woke up feeling so much better, I am low on energy and just don't feel normal. So...the kids and I decided to stay home and lay low. I took a nice long bath and stayed in jammies most of the day. However, tonight, mom took us, the McCullough's, and all of these silly kids to the South Jordan Rec Center to swim. At first, I told her I didn't think I could go but as the day wore on, I decided I'd be okay. The kids always look forward to going swimming with Grandma Sandi.

Wednesday, February 5 - For our Young Women's activity, we took the girls to the temple to do baptisms. This was both Kendra's and Taylor's first time going so it was really fun to be there! I'm so happy to be able to serve in the younger class so that I get to be with Kendra.

Thursday, February 6 - This is such a lame picture for today but look how pretty this lady's order is. I just love the new spring colors that Liz came up with! Tonight, we had Bunco at Amie's. Amie and I hosted and it was super fun!

Friday, February 7 - The elementary age kids have been off for three weeks now and today is their last "official" day off track. In celebration, I took them to the new Airborne Trampoline Park at The District in South Jordan. They had lots of fun but I was a little happy when their hour was up. :) After we left Airborne, we went to watch Simon play an indoor soccer game. He came close a few times to getting a goal but didn't end up with one. I think we were maybe his bad luck charm because he usually does get a goal each game. It was fun to watch him play.

Saturday, February 8 - Our day was kind of chill at home so I took Amie up on the offer to go to the gym at 1:00. We had a good workout but it was just a reminder to me that I am SO out of shape!

Sunday, February 9 - It was celebration Sunday for Halle and Brielle! I made a cake for some of my favorite little girls. It was an "ice cream melting cake" (but did not have any ice cream in it, haha). We had a really fun evening at the McCullough's.

Jan 27 - Feb 2

Monday, January 27 - Liz wanted Kendra and Ricki to come take a few photos to put up on her website before her full release next Thursday. These are some pieces from her spring line and a behind-the-scenes shot of her photographing my sweet Kendra.

Tuesday, January 28 - My poor off-track kids have been at home and just hanging out while I've been working each day. So when a few of our friends invited us to go see "Spy in Disguise" at the Theater, we happily accepted. The show was cute but I sure did love the visit with the kids on the way to and from the movies. 💗

Wednesday, January 29 - Our family apparently had the sillies today. I am in charge of naming the clothing items as we get them in from China. Liz helped me name the Chandler (the boy romper) but we needed a "matching" girl name for the suspender skirt. Of course, I HAD to name it the Monica! Haha! When I got home from work/lunch, my girls and Zack had all of their stickers out. It was fun to see them playing WITHOUT electronics. Of course, I found stickers all over the house for the next two days!

Thursday, January 30 - I was able to watch Kam and Kayla for a little bit this afternoon. When Katie came to pick them up, she had some extra time and asked me if I wanted to come with her to get Kayla's ears pierced. Of course I did! It was so sad but super fun to be there with them.

Friday, January 31 - We have a HUGE photo shoot on Monday so I spent lots of hours with Liz and Marisa today getting all the clothing steamed and ready to go to the shoot. This is just a tiny glimpse of all the things that are coming to her spring line. We have 10 models lined up on Monday so times that by a minimum of 3 outfits per kid...we had our work cut out for us!

Saturday, February 1 - Amie and I are hosting bunco this coming Thursday so she and I went out shopping for prizes. We also went to lunch and sat for two hours at Chick-Fil-A just catching up. I love the time I get to spend with my BFF! Tonight, Simon and Zack (and Halle, Brielle, Zach H...) had their very first indoor soccer game. Well, it ended up being more of a scrimmage and get-to-know you but still, they are all very excited for indoor!

Sunday, February 2 - Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!? Tonight was the Super Bowl and we had lots of fun! We had hot wings and fries, chips and dip, sandwiches, little smokies, and about four different desserts. It was super fun watching the San Francisco 49ers play the Kansas City Chiefs. I have been a fan of both teams for a long time but I was really rooting for the Chiefs so I was pretty happy when they won! Go Chiefs!
