Jun 21 - 27

Monday, June 21 - We went to the reservoir today and enjoyed some time in the sun. It was wonderful! The kids all had a good time and us moms got to relax and visit. I love the reservoir. We need to go more before the algae blooms get too bad and they shut it down again. Oh man, I love summer!

Tuesday, June 22 - The kids wanted to do the same walk that I go on with Jessie and Erin so we set out around 8:00 this morning. At first, they kept saying "this isn't so bad". But by the time we reached the top of the mountain, they were both pretty tired! They were impressed that their old mom could move up a mountain like I can. It was fun being with them and getting some exercise in in the process.

Wednesday, June 23 - Kendra had a hike for Young Women's tonight. She said it was really fun but they were out really late! She said it took longer than they expected. The girls and I went to the movie theater to see a new flick out called "In the Heights". I actually knew nothing about the movie going into it but I really enjoyed it! It was from the same guy that wrote "Hamilton", Lin-Manuel Miranda, and it had the same vibe. I really did like it!

Thursday, June 24 - Happy birthday to my sweet little lady! She turned 7 today but is going on 20! She is spunky, happy, and friendly. I love my girl!! Zack has had a sore throat and said that the top of his mouth felt funny. I looked in his mouth and saw these disturbing spots so I ran him to the Riverton Hospital InstaCare. Luckily, he doesn't have Covid, Flu, RSV, or Strep so basically, it's a little cold that should pass pretty quickly. I was mostly nervous about Covid because we have Ricki's party tomorrow and I didn't want to risk getting anyone sick. We're glad he's okay! On the way home from the doctor, I picked up McDonald's for Ricki. That was her birthday meal request for today. :)

Friday, June 25 - Ricki's LOL birthday party was today over at the splash park. She had so much fun but wished that more of her friends could have made it. She invited 12 girls, 7 RSVP'ed that they could come, but only 4 ended up showing up. :( It was okay though, she had a blast with the ones that came!! Tonight, we met Amie Alex and the kids over at the park, ate dinner together, played kickball, and then once a court finally came available at 9:00, we played pickleball. We love hanging out with them!

Saturday, June 26 - We got to celebrate Kam and Kayla's birthday today at the beautiful Lifetime Fitness Outdoor Pool. It was amazing and we had so much fun! It was a blast celebrating these cuties before they head off to Florida. Happy 6th birthday to Kam and 2nd birthday to Kayla!

Sunday, June 27 - Parties, parties, all week long! We got the Howard side together today to celebrate these cuties' birthdays. They got spoiled, as usual, and got so many fun things. We had a nice dinner and even though it was hot, we enjoyed the outdoors and just being together. Have I mentioned that I love summer?!?!?

Jun 14 - 20

Monday, June 14 - Kendra and I took a little drive to Ikea with my mom to help her get a mattress pad for the new couch/bed that she bought for the kids' playroom. Ricki waited all afternoon for me to do mom's nails, go to Ikea, and eat dinner before I finally got around to doing her nails. Sweet girl!

Tuesday, June 15 - Ricki wants an LOL party for her birthday next week so I worked on an invitation for her tonight. When she saw the final product, she was so excited!

Wednesday, June 16 - Jenni had a little surgery this morning. She had a tubal ligation and a uterine ablation. Everything went well and she is recovering nicely. While she was in surgery, the kids and I went to the summer movie. We picked up Weston and saw "Abominable". Nick didn't come today because he was golfing.

Thursday, June 17 - Today was Finley's "friend" birthday party...but she also invited her cousins. :) They had a big blow up water slide, jumped on the tramp, and had donuts for dessert (which Ricki loved)!

Friday, June 18 - Both of my boys were in need of a haircut but I was hesitant to do it ourselves this time because we had family pictures tonight so I took them to Great Clips. The lady did a really great job! They left looking top-notch and both were super happy with their results! I met Erin, Jessie, and Callie at Cafe Rio for lunch to celebrate Jessie's and my birthdays. I always love getting together with these girls. It's fun to catch up with them. I hurried home afterward to get everyone ready for our photoshoot tonight. Liz was so great! She is patient with the kids and understanding when everyone gets tired and ready to be done. I can't wait to get our pictures back from her.

Saturday, June 20 - We celebrated Finley today at a "family" party at a splash pad in Provo. It was super fun and the kids had a blast at this new park that we'd never been to before. Happy 5th birthday little miss Finn!

Sunday, June 20 - Happy Father's Day to all of the Dad's in our lives! We started the day off by making Simon breakfast sandwiches. Then, we headed to church where we had the pleasure of hearing Nick speak in Sacrament. :) After church, we went over to my parent's house to give my dad a gift and spend some time with him. Tonight, we had dinner with the Pearson's at Dave & Viv's house. It was a fun night until Ricki pushed me over the edge. You can see by her face in this picture that she was at the end of her rope...which effectively pushed me over the end of my rope! Oh boy...Happy Father's Day!

Jun 7 - 13

Monday, June 7 - The kids found a gardener snake in our flower bed. Luckily, I wasn't home but Simon caught these fun photos of Easton holding it and Faith and Ricki petting it. Yuck!

Tuesday, June 8 - Ricki had her cute friend Savvy over. They were running around playing and had just gone out back when all of a sudden, they came running back in. Savvy had lost a tooth! Haha! There must just be something in the water around here!!

Wednesday, June 9 - Wahoo! Summer movies are BAAACK! WE gave in and let our darling girl Kendra have a sleepover with not one but two of her friends! :) Instead of sending them home first thing in the morning, we took them to the first summer movie with us. We saw "War with Grandpa". It's really funny and we all enjoyed it. I really love these kids and love the girls that Kendra spends her time with. They are all three wonderful little ladies!

Thursday, June 10 - Ricki came to work with me today. Her and Nora love playing together! They got into her hair accessories and put all of her butterfly clips in at once. And then Ricki demanded that I take a picture because she looked so pretty! :) Once reason I took her with me was to have her try on some dresses for our family photo shoot coming up. These are the dresses I picked for the girls.

Friday, June 11 - Marisa, Jenni, and I took the kids to Wardle Park today. It is so fun and it's been really hot already this year so it was fun to go cool off and be together.

Saturday, June 12 - We've been really busy at work lately! This is the whole of our summer stock that recently came in. My job is to count, input, weigh, and measure all of these clothing items and then put them in bins and find a place for them on our shelves. Being that I love organizing and inputting data, this job is really perfect for me!

Sunday, June 13 - I've spent a lot of time shopping and putting various options together for our family photos. These are what I finally landed on and then sent them to my family and Marisa for opinions on what to do. We ended up deciding on Option D. Wahoo, we are ready for family pictures!

May 31 - Jun 6

Monday, May 31 - Happy Memorial Day! We were sad to leave but this Bear Lake vacation was one of the best ever! We can't wait to come back next year!

Tuesday, June 1 - Zack had tryouts for the competition soccer team today. We were very nervous about him making a team because they were going to cut a lot of kids but luckily, he made it! Simon is going to be the assistant coach so this will be a really fun upcoming season!

Wednesday, June 2 - This poor kid has been through so much! He fell and hit his knee on the cement outside on his way to soccer tryouts. They thought he was okay and he gave it his all at both nights of tryouts. However, after over a week of being in pain and even waking up in the night with pain, Liz took him to an Orthopedist and they discovered that he had broken his leg just above his knee! Poor guy!! He will be in this cast for four weeks then have another four or so weeks of recovery after the cast comes off. Luckily, he also made a comp soccer team so they were super happy about that. Unfortunately, because of Zack's age/birthday, he had to tryout for an older team so Zack can't play on the same team as his old soccer buddies anymore. We're sad for him but excited for all of these awesome players to see how this next year goes.

Thursday, June 3 - Since the 7th graders start school a day earlier than everyone else, they get out for summer break a day earlier than everyone else. This was Kendra's last day of 7th grade! I can't believe she's getting so old but we're very excited for summer break!

Friday, June 4 - Today was Zack, Ricki, and Nick's last day of school. Unfortunately, Nick was golfing (and definitely not going to school) so I didn't get a last day picture of him. But it's Ricki's last day of 1st grade, Zack's last day of 3rd, and Nick's last day of 9th. I will have a high schooler this year! I can't believe it!!

Saturday, June 5 - Mom and Dad took me to Texas Roadhouse for my birthday dinner today. Dad always insists that I get the Dallas Fillet and OH. MY. GOSH! It is so delicious! I love it!! Then, we had a Knotted Fern photoshoot tonight at Daybreak. This photoshoot nearly broke me...it was a shoot from hell! All the kids showed up at the same time, which they are not supposed to. All of them brought their whole family, which makes it too many people/craziness in one area. And most of the kids were grouchy since we don't shoot until 7:00 and end around 8:00. Add on top of that a cloudy evening and the light going faster than we thought it would, it was a recipe for disaster! I nearly broke down in tears at one point, it was just a mess! Liz, seeing our (but mostly my) distress, decided to take us out to JCW's for shakes and fries. It was just what I needed to lift my spirits and improve the whole night!

Sunday, June 6 - They've been trying to coordinate for weeks now but the girls finally twinned today at church! How darling are they?!? Tonight, we celebrated Grandma Sharon's birthday with her siblings. It was such a fun night to get together and enjoy everyone's company. I love my family!
