May 23 - 29

Monday, May 23 - Kendra has a project due this week and I just found out that everyone else's kids have been working on them for a while. When I asked Kendra about it, she said, "Oh yah, I should probably get working on that". 🤯 So we went to the craft store for Styrofoam, clay, and paint and she got started. It's coming along...!

Tuesday, May 24 - My dad's cousins are in town so the kids and I went over to meet them. These are Grandpa Howard's brother's (Uncle Ray) sons and daughter. I have met Brian before but this was my first time meeting Jeff and Cheryl. They are all very kind and it was fun visiting with them and getting to know them better.

Wednesday, May 25 - Here is the finished product...and not a day too soon! I was proud of her though. She worked hard on it and I think it turned out really great! Good job Kendra!

Thursday, May 26 - I took a picture with Zack and his friends at the school so it was Ricki's turn. I really will miss seeing these cute faces at work each day. School is almost out and although I'm looking forward to being done, I will miss this.

Friday, May 27 - After school, we hit the road for Bear Lake. Our family was already eating at Hometown when we got there so we drove straight there. Dad was showing off his awesome tan, haha! :) The weather this weekend isn't supposed to be very nice but we are just happy to be here in this beautiful place!

Saturday, May 28 - Happy birthday to Grandma Sharon! I made her a cake to celebrate and they came up just for the day to hang out. It was fun having her here to celebrate together! The girls spent hours collecting sea shells and putting them in bottles. Simon and I took a walk around the grounds and although it was chilly, it was beautiful!

Sunday, May 29 - Thankfully the pool is heated and the hot tub is hot! The cooler weather certainly didn't stop the kids from swimming...or the adults from sitting by the pool relaxing. :)

May 16 - 22

Monday, May 16 - This was so fun! Mom, Jenni, Grandma Sharon, and I went to Hale Theater to see "School of Rock". They did such a great job! It was such a great play! Afterward, we all went and had dinner together at Texas Roadhouse. I live for these kinds of events!

Tuesday, May 17 - Marisa came over and gave me this gift...and I love it!! Welcome-ish?!?! Haha, I love it!

Wednesday, May 18 - Marisa's birthday is April 26, mine is May 15, and Meg's is May 20 so we decided to go out an celebrate all of them together! We went to Black Bear Diner for breakfast. It was yummy but a little pricey. :) This afternoon, Zack went on a hike up Yellow Fork Canyon with his Activity Days group and they picked up trash. He said it was fun! Kendra, Ricki, and I went to the grocery store and we were driving back at 8:30 so I quick texted Nick to see if he was on break. He was! So we stopped by and sat with him during his break and visited for 20 or so minutes. :)

Thursday, May 19 - I decided to stop working at the cafeteria after this school year is over. I wanted to get a picture or two of my time here. I love my job most when my kids are in the lunchroom with me.

Friday, May 20 - We had an exciting morning! Mom came over around 8:30 to get her nails done then we were supposed to go to a 4th grade program at the school. However, Kendra came home from the bus stop about 20 minutes after she had left and said that the bus never came. So we ended up taking Kendra to the school too to watch the program and she took the rest of the day off. :) Tonight, I took the cookie class that Marisa gave me last year for my birthday. It only took me a year! Haha! It was so so fun and I learned a lot! I enjoyed it so much and it makes me want to come home and make more!

Saturday, May 21 - I started my out at an Optavia event in Sandy. It was so good and so informative. I learned about elements 3-5. Nick was downtown with Parker and their friends for Parker's 16th birthday. They went shopping, swimming, and stayed overnight in this hotel. They had a great time and I am glad he was able to go!

Sunday, May 22 - Nick asked me if he could paint a picture on his old desk top and I said I didn't care. Little did I know that he was going to make this incredible picture!! I wish it was on a canvas because there is really no way to hang it up but how cool is it?!?

May 9 - 15

Monday, May 9 - Another day, another soccer game! The whole fam came to enjoy this fun game. It was exciting because we played a hard team and we won 3-0. Our team is working so well together, it is a shame that the season is almost already over. I'm so glad the McCullough's, my mom, and Simon's parents were able to come watch! I know Zack feels everyone's love and support.

Tuesday, May 10 - We tried something new on Simon's hair. Nick and Zack's hair is just so nice, we tried it on Simon. At first, it really didn't work! It just looked like we had given him a bowl cut. Haha! But then we took the sides up a little higher and trimmed it a bit and it looks much better now. I like it but I think it will be even better when his hair on top grows a little longer.

Wednesday, May 11 - Tonight was Zack and Simon's last soccer game of the season! I have mixed emotions about it. On one hand, it will be nice to have things slow down a bit. On the other, I love watching the boys play and having Simon in his element coaching the team. To commemorate their last game, I made them all sugar cookies with their names on them. :) They turned out kind of fun! Good news, their team finished third in their division! It is a far cry from where they were at the St. George tournament when we lost all four games. They finished strong!

Thursday, May 12 - It's been a week and it's time for the stitches to come out. It is a little red and looks a bit infected but they said overall it looks pretty good. The stitches came out and it closed up nicely.

Friday, May 13 - What a busy and fun day! This morning, Simon went to the school with Zack and Ricki for "Dads and Donuts". He was there for over an hour and said that the kids wanted him to watch them play on the playground. He's a good daddy! This afternoon, Simon and I went with my mom and dad to Tucano's downtown for my birthday lunch. It was so yummy! It is my favorite! Later tonight, Kendra and Nick had the opportunity to go to the temple with their youth groups. They had two different time slots and then went to the church after for pizza. We actually happened to be there because we helped clean the church tonight. I love days like this!

Saturday, May 14 - Another crazy fun day! We started the morning off at Henry's baptism. It was super nice and we enjoyed being there with him and his family. Then, we went to an end-of-season pool party for Zack's soccer game. There, the team gave Simon a super nice gift with gift cards to Scheels, Texas Roadhouse, and Cinemark and a nice insulated water bottle. They even had Scoop cater ice cream. It was so fun!! While at the pool party, Simon's new assistant coach offered him four Real tickets for tonight's game. I didn't think all three kids would want to go (Nick had to work) but they all three very enthusiastically did want to go so I stayed home and enjoyed an evening of peace and quite by myself!

Sunday, May 15 - It's my birthday!! My favorite day of the year! :) Grandma and I collaborated on our birthday dinner menu and we had homemade spaghetti, salad, breadsticks, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. It was the best day spent with family!

May 2 - 8

Monday, May 2 - As I re-commit, again, to my healthy plan, it is teacher/staff appreciation week. We got Chip cookies, chocolates, and a bunch of other stuff to tempt me all week! Thankfully, yesterday was the kickoff of Mindful May so hopefully that helps me to stay strong!

Tuesday, May 3 - Yahoo!!!! He finally has his official license! He can drive himself to and from work...and school...and youth activities...and everywhere! I am so happy for him! And also a little happy for myself too! :)

Wednesday, May 4 - Zack had an archery lesson at activity days tonight and he enjoyed it. He is a pretty good aim! :) Ricki has her second grade wax museum this week so we spent some time working on it tonight. We didn't get it done but it's pretty darn close!

Thursday, May 5 - I texted at 11:00 pm asking Nick if he thought he'd be home from work soon. He texted me right back and said it was probably going to be a little bit of a later night. 15 minutes later, he called me and said "Hi mom". I was like..."Hiii????" And he asked if I could come get him from work because he cut himself and he thought he might need stitches. Oh boy!! Simon and I went over and took a look at it and I agreed, I thought a doctor needed to look at it. Simon took his car home and I drove him to the ER. Sure enough, he got two stitches to close it up. Yuck! Glad my boy is okay though!

Friday, May 6 - The wax museum is here! :) My little JoJo Siwa diva'ed out and did a great job with her memorized part. Isn't she the cutest?

Saturday, May 7 - My dad bought me this hilarious shirt! It says, "Due to unfortunate circumstances, I am awake". Hahahahaha! I LOVE it! :) This afternoon, we went to Chili's for linner and my cute girls got a hold of my phone. I have about 40 photos of these two just making faces for selfies. I pretend to hate that they do that but when I look back at them, I secretly love them!

Sunday, May 8 - Happy Mother's Day to all the moms I know and love! My kids and hubby spoiled me rotten this morning! It was so fun! Zack gave me a cute keychain that has a mini written letter on it. I love that!! Tonight, I ended up staying home because I haven't been feeling 100% and I didn't want to take any chance of taking a bug into Brooks' house. I had a nice quiet evening though while my family went to dinner. Kendra got to hold Brooks tonight for the first time. We love him!
