Feb 20 - 26

Monday, February 20 - Today is President's Day and the last day of this tournament. Unfortunately, we didn't do very well in the tournament and didn't play in the championship game. However, look at this cute girl we ran into! We went and watched Oakley's game before we headed back home.

Tuesday, February 21 - Simon and I went to the Coach's Appreciation Night for Copper Mountain Soccer tonight. We saw the movie "Ant Man" and came out of the theater to 6-7" of snow! It was a little scary getting home. When we got home, this is what we walked into. My girls are a little obsessed now with playing Rummy!

Wednesday, February 22 - SNOW DAY!!! Yay! We got about 14" of snow so in the night last night, the school district cancelled all school and activities for today. My kids were so happy! Virtual learning days are really easy for them and then they have the rest of the day to hang out. They convinced me to make pancakes for breakfast and then we hung out all day. Right before bed tonight, we got another text saying that tomorrow is cancelled too. Not as much because of new snow falling but because the busses are buried and there is so much snow removal at all of the schools, they want a day to recoup before the kids come back. Wahoo!!!

Thursday, February 23 - It was another fun "Virtual Learning Day"! The weather was much better so the kids bundled up and played outside for hours! I made Kendra's dinner request, homemade Cafe Rio, and we ate before I headed to book club. We had book club at Amie's to discuss "Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris". No one really liked the book so we basically just sat and talked for a couple of hours. :)

Friday, February 24 - Simon has this lunch that he does with the guys once a month that he calls GuHaLu...GUys HAving LUnch. Haha! Some months they have a ton of men come but this month it was just this small group. I'm so glad they do this!

Saturday, February 25 - Desmond, from Zack's soccer team, has been wanting to hang out but it has been hard to figure out a time to get them together. Today was the day! They played and played and played! They had such a good time together. I wish Desmond lived closer. He lives in West Jordan.

Sunday, February 26 - This isn't a pregnancy test. This is a negative Covid test. I have been so sick, I missed both church and Great to be 8 tonight. I'm glad it's not Covid but man, I feel yucky!

Feb 13 - 19

Monday, February 13 - We feel a little rushed to do "normal" February things like making a Valentine box for school. Thanks to an empty cereal box and Ricki's sweet imagination, we got it done in record time! Look at that sweet face! 💕

Tuesday, February 14 - Happy Valentine's Day! Tammy and Dale threw this super fun couples V-Day party. We ate dinner, played games, and just visited. It was a fun night with my Valentine!

Wednesday, February 15 - Ricki has this patch of eczema behind her ear. We keep trying to put lotion on it and heal it up but it just reopens and weeps. I feel bad because where it splits the skin, it is really painful. We switched lotions to Aquaphor so hopefully that will help!

Thursday, February 16 - "Look mom, I have a blue mustache!" You sure do sweetheart, you sure do!

Friday, February 17 - From one vacation to the next! We loaded Kendra, Zack, Ricki, and my mom in the car and headed to St. George for Zack's soccer tournament. Nick really didn't want to go. He had a ton of homework and just didn't want to be out of town again so soon so we *reluctantly* allowed him to stay at home, alone, for the weekend. (That is hard on my mommy heart but he's a good kid and independent. I'm sure he'll be fine.) It's still really cold here in Utah so we bundled up for the games. I love watching my favorite athlete play the game he loves! Tonight, we went over to the pool and hot tub but Kendra "forgot" to remove her eye makeup. She asked me if it was running and I definitely had to get a picture! I did promise her not to post it to social media! Haha!

Saturday, February 18 - How cool is this action shot of Zack playing? I love it!! We did all of the normal St. George vacation things but with a spot of soccer here and there. Tonight, we spent over an hour playing Rummy together. Love it!

Sunday, February 19 - Kendra and mom got up first thing and went to Pink Box Donuts. They are the best donuts ever!! They brought them back for breakfast before our day started. There are no soccer games on Sunday but we did have a team party at a local park. The team budget provided sandwiches and drinks then everyone brought sides and desserts to share. It was a really fun party! Afterward, we went for a small hike above the bluff North of town.

Jan 30 - Feb 5

Monday, January 30 - Ricki and I went down in Kendra's room to help her find some dresses for the formal nights on the cruise. Alexis gave Kendra this skirt because it got too small on her. Well, it's too small for Kendra too and look who it fits perfectly! I don't really think it's legit a women's size small!

Tuesday, January 31 - I, on the other hand, have no shorts that fit and I'm frustrated by that! I don't have time before the cruise to go shopping so my sweet sister took pictures of these shorts to see if I wanted her to buy them for me from the D.I. Ummm...yes! Thanks sis!

Wednesday, February 1 - Mom was at my house getting nails done and we were all planning on joining the McCullough's for Halle's birthday dinner at Cafe Rio. Right before we were leaving, I suddenly realized Zack had a doctor appointment so mom and my kids met up with Jenni's crew. I'm glad they got to go celebrate together. Zack may or may not have gotten a treat too since we missed going to dinner.

Thursday, February 2 - I didn't get any actual photos of us playing bunco at Mom's house but Jenni had this little gem so I thought I would use it! I can't imagine how stressful it would be to throw a party like this at your house two days before leaving on a cruise!

Friday, February 3 - And off we go! I have been looking so forward to this! Check out our fun itinerary. Ricki had a bit of a hard time leaving on the airplane. She was scared so I sat with the girls and Simon sat with the boys. She was only nervous for about 10 minutes. Once we were in the sky and going, she calmed right down and we had a smooth ride to LAX. Wahoo! Vacation!!

Saturday, February 4 - We made it! We're on the ship and off to sea! We love this crew! How fun to be here on this trip with so much of our family!

Sunday, February 5 - We had a fun day at sea today! There was a lot of relaxing and watching for wildlife off the side of the ship. Tonight was formal night so we got dressed up and enjoyed a yummy dinner together.

Feb 6 - 12

Monday, February 6 - Today was another day at sea and we had fun! We sat by the pool, everyone ate lunch together at the back of the ship, we relaxed, played, then ate dinner together. :) Zack convinced me to go on the Sky Ride with him. You just peddle these little cars around a track overhead. The view was amazing! I really love sea days!

Tuesday, February 7 - This was our first port of the cruise; Puerto Vallarta. We spent the first half of the day walking down the Malecon and seeing all of the sights. We went back to the ship and I decided to stay on the ship due to a migraine. Everyone else got back off the ship, went shopping, and then they played in the ocean. Seeing these pictures later made me wish I would have just toughed it out but I'm glad my family had a great time!

Wednesday, February 8 - Today was a little tough. Poor little Zacky came in our room at 2:00 am and said that he had thrown up in his bed. I figured it was just motion sickness or something but he threw up again around 4:00. Needless to say, we didn't have him get off the ship and I didn't want to leave him alone so I stayed on the ship with him. We were at Mazatlán, not my favorite stop, so we just did ship things. He was feeling a little better by dinner so he ate a little bit and then joined us for the entertainment and a musical show after. Poor guy! You can't be sick on a cruise!

Thursday, February 9 - From my least favorite port yesterday to my very favorite port today! I love Cabo! Everyone got off the ship together and we found a glass bottom boat to take us out to see the sights. That is always fun! Our driver was hilarious and super nice. There was a small group of whales that kept breaching the surface near us so we stayed out probably an extra half hour just watching the water! It was so cool! Tonight at dinner was a mommy nightmare! Zack complained of a headache before we went but it was formal night and it had been a busy day so I didn't think a lot of it. Before our main course even came, he was curled up in a ball on his chair crying. I decided to take him back to our room and figured I would just leave him there to rest and I would go back for the prime rib dinner. I was trying to turn the TV on for him and things got really scary. He was trying to tell me what he wanted to watch but his words were not forming. He would say things like "ick" and "dat" but he couldn't form any normal words. I thought he was having a stroke so I told him to smile, to say his name, to squeeze my hands at the same time...etc. He finally came back to himself and we talked like normal but there was absolutely no way I was going to leave him! I ate dinner in our room and then crawled into bed next to my boy. BJ checked on him but we all think he's fine. Possibly just a migraine mixed with dehydration. I made Simon sleep in Zack's bed so that he could stay with me. The picture of them sleeping on my bed is when Simon came back from the entertainment, I went out of the room for a few minutes. When I came back, these three were all asleep. :)

Friday, February 10 - This sea day was not as fun as it was on our way out. It was only 60° and breezy so it was COLD! We were basically just lazy around the ship all day. Tonight, we enjoyed our last dinner in the dining room together then went to entertainment. Tonight's show was just amazing! It made up for most of the other shows that were either okay-ish or just bad. It was so good, my parents went twice! The crew hides these little rubber ducks around the ship and when you find one, you take a picture, then re-hide it for someone else to find. Cute! Kendra has a big ole' crush on our Cruise Director, Marty, so she got this very "embarrassing" picture with him. Haha! And my dear son Nick. He ate 119 ice cream cones this week, which is a ship record!! So he got knighted by our Assistant Cruise Director, Renier, and given a cruise ship trophy. Haha! Gross!! It was SO foggy tonight and Simon got this amazing picture. It has been a weird cruise day! And I couldn't help but post a pic of Ricki with our final towel. She has loved going in and seeing what they left us each night and we got a lot of pictures of her with the towels. :)

Saturday, February 10 - Just like that, the cruise is over and we are heading home. Dang it! We had such a nice time being with my parents, Simon's parents, and the McCulloughs. We can't wait to go again...soon!

Sunday, February 12 - Today was the first day Zack got to pass the sacrament so I discretely took this picture of him passing to us. He's so cute...and tiny. The older Deacons tower over him and the other new Deacons. Haha! Today was also the Super Bowl so we congregated at my parent's house for the big game. It was such a great game to watch and in the end, it was won by a field goal! So good!
