Jun 19 - 25

Monday, June 19 - It's Juneteenth and MACU Lagoon day! Yay! We went on rides, ate yummy food, and hung out with friends that we knew. It was a long day but it was so so fun! Thanks MACU!

Tuesday, June 20 - Nick watches this guy on YouTube all the time so when he came out with a cookbook, he insisted on getting it! I'm excited to get into it and try some new recipes!

Wednesday, June 21 - For Young Women's tonight, they did it combined with the Relief Society and did a "Sisters in Service" activity. There were several homes you could go to but Kendra and I chose to go to Vea Jean Hamilton's. She's such a cute, sweet little lady and we all definitely feel like she's the Matriarch of our ward. I love her and I was glad to do some chores in her beautiful home!

Thursday, June 22 - The kids were dying to get out of the house today so we made a quick and impromptu trip to Thanksgiving Point. We had never been to the Butterfly Biosphere so we thought we'd try it out. It was fun but the butterflies are kind of freaky! Haha! They fly so close to you, you feel like they'll run into you! We had a good time though and spent about an hour exploring and having fun.

Friday, June 23 - It's getting real! We had all of the utility companies come out and mark their lines so that we could start work on the cement. We're pretty excited to get this done! Stay tuned for update pics! All four kids had dentist appointments this morning. Once again, NO CAVITIES! We are on a 17-year streak! Wahoo!! Tonight, Jenni and I went to see the play Footloose at the Early Light Academy (Kensington) Theater. Our friend's son, Luke Morley, played the lead and it was so much fun watching him. He is definitely in his element onstage! It was a fun night with my sis!

Saturday, June 24 - They have only been here for one day and look how much progress they've already made! This is so exciting! Happy Birthday to my sweet Ritzy Baby! She turned 9 today and she's living her best life! Her requests were to go to Cafe Rio for dinner and then go to Blackridge Elementary to play on the playground and show me her monkey bar skills! I love my birthday girl!

Sunday, June 25 - Tonight for Sunday dinner, we had the Howard's over to celebrate Zack and Ricki's birthdays. It was fun and the kids got super spoiled! So fun!

Jun 12 - 18

Monday, June 12 - I am kind of obsessed with these nail wraps! They are Dashing Divas and they are awesome! They only take me about 30 minutes to put on and then they last between 2-3 weeks! They don't make my nails stronger but they also don't damage my nails when I take them off. They rock!

Tuesday, June 13 - Mom took Jenni, our kids (that wanted to go), and I to see the new live-action Little Mermaid. There have been some very mixed reviews of it but I thought it was really cute! Unfortunately, Jenni had an appointment that she had to rush out to so we didn't get to have her in our picture but she was there with us and we had fun!

Wednesday, June 14 - The kids have been wanting to go bowling so this morning seemed like a good time. They had a blast and I enjoyed watching them! :) This afternoon, Jenni came over and we did cute July toenails. She taught me how to do this cute firework. I shall use this technique again soon!

Thursday, June 15 - We have been looking forward to our Fillmore trip for weeks now! We all arrived at different times but once everyone was here, we went to Costa Vida for dinner. Shortly after dinner, mom thought it would be fun to take us girls on an absolute terror ride! Seriously, my dinner almost made a reappearance! :) Kendra, Zack, and Nick can't get enough of riding the 4-wheelers! They love it here! As does Ricki....but she likes to play on the playground a little more.

Friday, June 16 - We are just living our best camping life! We all went on a nice long ride up in the mountains today. Unfortunately, it ended with Jake having a major wipeout on his dirt bike. His knee for sure needed stitches but he completely refused to go to the ER so BJ patched him up the best he could. Otherwise, we had a nice ride and then mom & Jenni cooked a yummy dinner for our whole camp.

Saturday, June 17 - We though yesterday was tough with Jake's crash but we had no idea what was coming! The first 3/4 of the day were great! We took turns riding the 4-wheelers and side-by-sides and everyone was happy! After lunch, we headed into town to do some sightseeing. There is a museum in the original Utah State Capital building. The pioneers thought that Fillmore, being in the center of the state, would house the state capital but alas, Salt Lake took over. The original building is still standing though and they have done some fun things to make it interesting to learn about the history of the area. That was fun! When we got back, Viv and I made dinner for the whole camp. I laid down after that with a migraine while most everyone else went to the pool to play. About a half hour later, Nick came in our trailer and said that he needed first aid. I jumped up (not a great feeling with a migraine) and saw that he was totally road-rashed on the same arm that he burned last week! What the heck!?! Well, Jake was driving the side-by-side when they hit a ditch and rolled it! Nick was holding on to the handle so when it rolled, his right arm got super scratched up! I'm just thankful that he didn't break or even crush that arm! I'm also so thankful they were both smart and wearing seatbelts! It could have been so much worse! Jake did end up going to the ER because he thought his arm was broken. Luckily, it's not and they were able to clean his knee out pretty well. The worst part is that they rolled on the right side, the top, and then landed on the left. We are pretty sure with a roll that severe, the side-by-side will be totaled by the insurance company. :(

Sunday, June 18 - First off, happy Father's Day to all the dad's in our lives! We love and appreciate them all! Our darling boys are in pretty rough shape this morning. They are both sore, scraped and bruised but they still love each other. I guess that is all we can ask for. :)

Jun 5 - 11

Monday, June 5 - Marisa, Jen, and I took our kids to Provo this morning for FSY. It was fun chatting with the moms on the way there and back but it was bittersweet dropping the kids off. It's just so weird knowing they will be basically on their own for the week! I know they will have a blast though. Especially because Kendra and Payton are roommates. What could be better than a week-long sleepover with your best friend!?! Nick came home around 11:40 tonight with a big bag of ice wrapped around his arm. He slipped on some grease (around 7:45!!) and his arm landed in a fresh new batch of piping hot French fries! He also hit his stomach on the corner of the counter and has a big bruise forming just above his beltline. We were on the phone with a triage nurse until 1:00 am trying to figure out if he needed to be seen or not. She basically just said to keep the area dry and clean and it should heal okay. Man, this kid and his work-related injuries! He keeps us on our toes!

Tuesday, June 6 - Dave and Viv are watching Ryan and Ashley's kids this week while they are on an anniversary trip to California. Dave had a doctor appointment this morning so I helped out while they were gone. These kids are so darn cute! I love having them over - they brighten up our house!

Wednesday, June 7 - It's starting to heal a little but look at that massive blister in the middle. Poor guy! I can't imagine how painful this big of a burn is! He has been in quite a bit of pain and has been alternating ibuprofen and Tylenol to keep on top of it. I feel so bad that this happened!

Thursday, June 8 - Look how cute my boy and Livi are! She loves Zacky and for sure, the feeling is mutual! Viv and I took the kids to the park to play for a while and get their wiggles out. They had so much fun and they were all so cute helping Livi play on the playground.

Friday, June 9 - Check out these fun gifts that Amie gave me for my birthday. She is so sweet and so thoughtful! And she totally gets me. :) We went to lunch to exchange gifts and the time with her was even better than the gifts (although I love those too!). Tonight, I decided to make pasta salad as the main dish for dinner. I might as well have killed someone - the reaction my family gave me was amazing! The only one excited for pasta salad for dinner was Zack.

Saturday, June 10 - Halle invited my girls and I to her dance performance in Provo. She did such a great job! It was so much fun to watch her dance and she was in several numbers so that was fun too! I'm glad we got to go! Good job Halle!

Sunday, June 11 - Well, on the way home from church we realized we had a screw sticking out of the rear passenger's side tire so it looks like I'll be getting that fixed this week! John stopped by to give Zack a topic for an upcoming talk he's giving in sacrament and he and Nick had to share a "bro-hug". They are so funny! I think Nick will be just like John when he grows up. :) And speaking of funny, check out how Ricki fell asleep at my mom's house tonight! Silly girl!

May 29 - Jun 4

Monday, May 29 - We did some swimming at the pool and just hanging around the condo until we had to pack up. We also enjoyed a little walk out to the doc and the girls walked down at the shoreline. The lake is freezing cold! I don't know how they even went in as far as they did! We stayed later than normal and left this afternoon. What a fun trip! Until next year Bear Lake!

Tuesday, May 30 - We found this lovely gopher snake in our backyard today. The kids and I sat and watched it out the window for at least a half an hour! I'm pretty sure that once we finally pull up the patio cement, we will have a nest of snakes under there. Gross!!! Katelynn Giles from next door sent over a huge bag of clothes for Kendra to try on. There were several prom dresses and they were gorgeous! That was so kind of her to think of Kendra!

Wednesday, May 31 - I went to Biz Town with Zack today for his field trip. I love Biz Town and being involved with these awesome kiddos! Zack was the CEO of Chick-Fil-A and I volunteered in the KSL room. It was fun because I got to be with Evelynn Moon. She's such a sweet girl! It went very well! Then, once we got home, I took Ricki over to her activity days activity. They had a swim party in the Christensen's swim spa. It's so cool! They build a fully enclosed room off the back of their house and that is where the pool is. The girls had a blast!

Thursday, June 1 - Today was a special day for Trevan. He flew home from his summer sales job in Alabama to walk with his graduating class. I am proud of him and this accomplishment! I'm sure he will go on to do great things and I'm excited to see what his future holds! Congrats Trev!

Friday, June 2 - Today is both the last day of school (wahoo!!!!) AND National Donut Day! Mom showed up first thing this morning to bring us donuts. She's so cute and donut-loving! :) After school, the kids were on a high and wanted to play with friends. Zack has the cutest little group of friends and I love to see pictures of the shenanigans they get into!

Saturday, June 3 - Trevan flies back to Alabama today so we decided to do one more big family lunch together with him. It was so nice to see him and get to spend some time with him before he goes back. It's weird when he's gone. Our family is spread out way too far! This evening, we met up with the Pearson side to get family pictures done. We went to FotoFly at Thanksgiving Point and I think our pictures turned out great!

Sunday, June 4 - We had dinner at the Pearson's tonight. Our recent tradition is to eat dinner, have dessert, and then the girls go downstairs and bring up all of the coloring stuff. The boys usually go outside and kick a soccer ball around but Brooks wanted to get in on the coloring this time. He's such a doll! Love him!
