 Monday, May 25
First of all, Happy Memorial Day! We chose to spend our day off working in the yard. We started around 8:30am. Simon ran to buy trees and flowers and I worked on the weeds in the backyard. The top picture is of a weed that was so tall and thick, it felt like pulling up a tree! We worked for about 11 hours and added 2 trees in the park strip, a new Blue Spruce in our side yard, 2 Cottonless Cottonwoods and 2 apple trees in the back. It was busy and back-breaking but we got it done and I'm excited to see the results as everything starts to grow and bloom.

Tuesday, May 26
I couldn't decide which pic I should use for today so I did both! The top is a wreath that Amie made me for my birthday. I FINALLY have a cute wreath to put on my front door!! (Thanks Ames!) The bottom is my cute baseball player with his completion certificate and trophy for playing t-ball this season. I loved watching him play! Baby sports are so darn cute!

Wednesday, May 27
I have been spending a lot of my time this week and last getting ready for tonight's fun event. I helped put on a combined Young Women activity that we called "Grandparents Night". The girls invited their grandparents for dinner then I talked about the importance of grandparents in family history work. We gave the girls a questionnaire and a My Family booklet to fill out and let them ask their grandparents questions about their past. It went better than I had even expected and it was so fun! I love being with the youth. They inspire me.

Happy Birthday Grandma Sharon! Jenni and I took Grandma to Olive Garden for her birthday but do you think I thought to snap a pic? Nope! Instead, I have this cute quote my sister gave me. Last Sunday, I was sitting in Relief Society and read a quote from the lesson that really hit me. Within probably 3 minutes of reading that, Jenni texted that exact quote to me. (Great minds, right!?!?) Today, she handed me an envelope and in it was a picture of the quote that both stood out to us. I have been wanting to replace the ugly picture I printed off the internet in my bathroom but didn't know what to put in its place. This quote worked out perfectly. It's super cute plus it gives you something to read in the bathroom! Win-win!

Friday, May 29
Zack, Ricki, and I took an adventure up to Cottonwood Heights to take a tour of Brian's fire station. I have been dying to get some pictures for Zack's empty frame in his room. It was so much cooler than I could have imagined! We got to look all through the fire trucks, ambulance, got a tour of their living quarters, and even took a ride with the fire fighters! I think it was more fun for me than Zacky! There are some definite perks to being related to a fire fighter!

Saturday, May 30
What is your favorite night of the week? Mine is DATE NIGHT!!! Simon made arrangements to have Dave & Viv watch the kids so we could go out. We had dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse then went to the movies to see Furious 7. It was a good show but just so much fun to be out with my sweetheart!

Sunday, May 31
We went to my parent's house again this week to celebrate Grandma's birthday. We had a fun outdoor BBQ. I LOVE SUMMER!!! Amie was without kids this weekend so she came too. (Bonus-two weeks in a row!)

Monday, May 18
We had a few hours to kill today so Alexis dropped us off at the strip on her way to work then Gary picked us up on his way home. We were sad to say goodbye to this very fun vacation but it was also nice to see the kiddos.

Tuesday, May 19
My day started out relaxing a little with this sweetie. However, it got a little nuts tonight when we had gymnastics for Kendra, a t-ball game for Zack, a coach-pitch game for Kendra, baseball practice for Nick, and Pack Meeting for Nick all between the hours of 6-8 pm. Thank heaven for Dave & Viv! At one time, we had Dave & Viv with Zack, Simon with Nick, and me with Kendra and Ricki getting everyone to their various activities.

Wednesday, May 20
Today was Kendra's birthday lunch at school. We took pizza and met up with the kids at the birthday table. I love being at the school with the kids. I am looking forward to next year when I can volunteer in their classrooms more while Zack is in preschool.

Thursday, May 21
Does anything need to be said about the first picture!?!? These are the first piggy-tails I've done on her and they were inspired by piggy-tails my mom did while we were in Vegas. Kendra's 1st grade program was today and it was SO CUTE!! I just love my girl!

Friday, May 22
I had two sweet little helpers come outside with me and help start pulling weeds. Ricki was less helpful so I brought her out a toy to keep her out of trouble. Would you believe that garbage can only had one bag of garbage in it before I began? Some of those weeds were as tall as my waist! This picture is of about half of the flower bed. The other half had to wait for another day. I was so sore and tired after about 4 hours, I could hardly move!

Saturday, May 23
Family picture time! We had our pictures taken today at Camera Shy. This was my first time at that studio but I really liked them. I thought they did a pretty good job. I am so happy to have family pictures again that include all of the members of our family!

Sunday, May 24
Happy birthday to me...again! We celebrated my birthday at my parent's house tonight. I requested homemade spaghetti for dinner (YUM!!). Amie and her kids came too so that was extra fun to have everyone there. My family spoiled me, as always! Thanks for a fun birthday fam!!

Monday, May 11
My parents came out for family night tonight and watched Nick play a very good game. Regina had her sweet little boy today too. His name is Calder Thompson Campbell and he is adorable!!

Tuesday, May 12
The weather is finally starting to get warmer so the kids started riding their bikes. I rode with them today to make sure they knew a safe route and how to lock their bikes up.

Wednesday, May 13
My sweet friends took me to breakfast for my birthday today. We went to Kneader's and I even got a free chocolate covered strawberry for my birthday! Thanks Marisa, Andrea, Catherine, and Callie for the fun morning!! :)

Thursday, May 14
I have been pretty tired of my hair and I was ready for a change so I got a couple of inches cut off and highlights through the top. I love a good blunt cut!

Friday, May 15
Happy birthday to me! :) Mom & Dad took Jenni, me, and our kids to lunch at the Olive Garden. Yum!! I met Simon at my parent's house after work to drop our kids off and start our no-kids weekend. On the way home, we stopped for shakes at Arctic Circle (for dinner). It was a good birthday!

Saturday, May 16
Simon & I flew to Las Vegas this morning for Gary's big graduation celebration. We went to a fun little breakfast place called The Coffee Cup which was featured on a TV show called "Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives". We had a nice relaxing day then ended it with a big dinner at a pizza place then a walk down the Vegas strip. While we were livin' it up in Vegas, the kids were having a blast at Leatherby's in Utah with grandma and grandpa.

Sunday, May 17
Today was simply amazing! Gary graduated with a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. We are so proud of him and all he has accomplished. We're also proud of Alexis and everything she's done (and put up with) to get to this point. Way to go and best wishes on your future Gary & Alexis!

Monday, May 4
This is my last day of bowling with the "Gutter Girls". I am not planning on bowling next year...I just need to get my life a little more in order before I commit to something like this. It was fun bowling with Mindee, Vicki, and Emily this year - even though we lost to my family's team. :)

Tuesday, May 5
Just plan on lots of baseball pictures because that is our life right now. Ricki is inside my jacket because it's so cold so when Zack put his tiny hat on my head, we had to get a silly picture.

Wednesday, May 6
The kids and I were sitting around the table after Simon left for scouts when we heard the rain start pounding. We went right to the window and discovered this: hail so thick it looks like snow! Crazy Utah weather!

Thursday, May 7
They didn't cancel games today so the kids and I headed to the ball field. Zack played a very cold and miserable two innings before they called both his game and Kendra's. Thank heaven, we were really miserable. This pic is of us right before we ran back to the van.

Friday, May 8
Due to all of the rain we have had in the past two days, Kenny's work cancelled their employees for today. It's just too wet to do landscaping and mowing work. Jenni & I took full advantage of that and took Kenny to lunch at Cafe Rio. Good food, good company.
Tonight, Nick had his first-ever piano lesson. He did an amazing job and everyone loved hearing the performances by all of the students. Big thanks to the Howard's, Pearson's, McCullough's, and Muffett's for coming to support Nick!

Saturday, May 9
We couldn't get everyone together for Mother's Day on Mother's Day so we went to lunch at Las Glorias to celebrate. Happy Mother's Day to my amazing mom! I love her and look up to her and her example so much!! Also, happy Mother's Day to me from my daddy. He gave Jenni, Mom, and I tickets to Time Out For Women in St. George in November. Yay!!

Sunday, May 10
Happy Mother's Day to my second mom! I love Viv with all my heart and am so thankful for all she does for my family. She really does so much! Happy Mother's Day!

 Monday, April 27
Kendra and I decided that enough was enough and we took our braids out. Kendra maybe could have pulled off this look for a day or two but I washed it out as soon as this picture was taken!

Tuesday, April 28
The baseball season has officially started! This means that my evenings just got a whole lot crazier than before. Kendra and Zack both had their first games. Oh my, Zack's little team...so cute!! And Kendra is a good little player. I was impressed with her natural talent for the game, especially since she has never played before! Go Tigers and Blue Jays!!

Wednesday, April 29
This was Nick's first game. This league is serious! I guess I have never watched kids this age play. The kids pitch, catch, and even have slightly older kids (13-14) as umpires. Nick is a pretty good player and rumor has it, we are one of the best teams on the league. Go Herriman Vipers!!

Thursday, April 30
This is a picture of me and some of my very favorite people. Erin, Marisa, and I threw a baby shower for Regina. Yah, she's the one in maroon that doesn't even look pregnant! She's so cute!! We (okay, mostly Marisa) did a nautical theme and it was so fun! Congratulations to Regina on her 5th little boy!

Friday, May 1
Since Kendra was off-track over her birthday, Mrs. Lockwood asked if we could celebrate her birthday today. She requested glazed donuts so I took them in around 1:00. It was cute when they put her on the chair in the front of the room, sang happy birthday to her, and gave her a book of pages that her classmates had written and illustrated. Happy birthday sweet girl!

 Saturday, May 2
This picture is both awesome and super lame. Here's why...Amie and I spent the whole afternoon together. We started at the movies and saw the new Avengers movie, had dinner at Red Robin, then went bowling and met up with another one of her friends. That's why it's awesome - we got to spend a ton of much-needed BFF time together for Amie's birthday. The lame part is that, even though we both maintain a picture of the day blog, neither one of us thought to snap a pic until we ran into Smith's super quick to get some groceries I needed for tomorrow...lame! :) Regardless of the picture, it was GREAT day! I wish we could do it more often.

Sunday, May 3
Happy birthday BJ! We had a partay at mom and dad's. We gave BJ cash in helium balloons so he had to pop them to get his gift out. I was asked to do the cake for his party. His request, a fruit pizza. This is my first fruit pizza ever but it turned out kind of pretty. :)
