Monday, April 11 - We had a fabulous day of vegging in the sun! It was a warm and beautiful day at sea!! After dinner and the show, Dave & Viv called it a night. Simon and I walked around the ship for a while then realized that they were showing the new "Star Wars" movie under the stars so we started watching it. About half way through though, Simon was sound asleep and I was getting tired too so we went to bed. I love watching movies under the stars though!
Tuesday, April 12 - It was a beautiful day in sunny Puerto Vallarta, Mexico! We did a little shopping at the shops at the port and went to visit Inez and take care of my ring. Then we walked around a building and voila, we were on the beach! We threw our towels down and hung out on the beach until well into the afternoon. I could stay on the beach forever!
Wednesday, April 13 - Our second port of call was Mazatlan, Mexico. We had had enough sun and lounge time, this day was all about the sight-seeing and shopping. We took a taxi to the Mazatlan Divers and watched them for a few minutes. Then, we walked through the streets a little to buy souvenirs for the kids. We visited the infamous open air meat market, which still gives me the same heebeegeebeez it did 10 years ago when I saw it for the first time. We also got to call the kids at my grandma's house. It was nice to hear their voices and know that they were doing okay. Back on the ship for another fabulous evening of dinner and a show.
Thursday, April 14 - Our last port was Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I think Cabo will forever be one of my favorite stops. However, it was extra awesome this time! Simon and Dave got to go parasailing and got some amazing pictures. Then, we took a glass bottom boat out with a waitress from our ship for the tour of the famous Cabo landmarks. Our tour ended at Lover's Beach where we were FINALLY able to get off the boat and hang out for a while! (This is my 5th time to Cabo but 1st to be able to get off the boat on Lover's Beach!) It was totally worth the wait! It was breathtaking! Tonight was formal night so once again, we got dressed up and had a fabulous formal dinner with Dave & Viv. I'm going to miss dining with them every night! What a wonderful day!
Friday, April 15 - First of all, happy birthday to my beautiful girl Mickendra and my wonderful Grandma Howard! I felt horrible not being able to call my girl on her big 8th birthday (we were at sea all day so I really could not call her) but I knew she was at home being spoiled by grandma and grandpa. I liked this picture we took of the ship in the hazy background. It really feels like this picture...a dream! Well, it did until we hit super rough waters and experienced what an 18-story ship feels like in 18' swells. It was a little less fun but didn't ruin our trip. :)
Saturday, April 16 - And just like that, it's over. We woke up at our port in Long Beach, ate breakfast, then got off the ship. Our flight didn't leave until 3:30 in the afternoon so we rented a car and went to the beach. They were having a super cool teen sailboat race so we stood and watched them for a while. It was really very interesting. Then back on the plane and back to reality!
Sunday, April 17 - Jenni's boys taught this sweet kid to ride a bike without training wheels while he was at their house on Thursday! I was shocked when my mom sent me the video of him doing it!! He couldn't wait to get home and have his daddy take his training wheels off so that he could ride his bike! Also, check out his super cool new Batman shoes. Thanks grandma Sandi for the new wardrobe all of my kids acquired at your house! :)
