Jan 23 - 29

Monday, January 23 - My cute mom invited us over tonight for dinner and family night. We talked about Lehi, Nephi's father and the trials he went through. Then, we watched a slideshow of pictures that dad made of 2015. After that, we played a super fun game with candy. I plan to duplicate this game at my upcoming Valentine's Day party! :)

Tuesday, January 24 - This may have been our most controversial book club ever. Although we all have happy smiley faces on here, this turned into drama central! Luckily, I think it's all worked out and we're excited to move on and enjoy book club next month!

Wednesday, January 25 - So proud of my Nick boy for graduating from the D.A.R.E. program today. Nick and I have had many serious discussions about drugs, alcohol, and substance abuse. D.A.R.E. played a big role in my life and in making decisions about drugs and alcohol in my teenage years. I have shared my experiences with him as well as many talks about Uncle Kenny and Aunt Katie's struggles. I pray he continues on a healthy and righteous path in these next few critical years.

Thursday, January 26 - I'm not normally a "foodie" nor do I generally take pictures of my food. However, I snapped this yummy pic because this is one of my very favorite dinners. It is like chicken noodle soup but rather than noodles, I replaced them with tortellini! Although the recipe didn't call for spinach, I threw in a handful and this dinner was delicious and pretty healthy (minus the tortellini!) Thanks mom for introducing me to the world of tortellini!

Friday, January 27 - We have started a once per month advent calendar group. I LOVE my advent calendar that Jenni made me so much, I wanted to share it with the ladies in my ward. This is our very first meeting for the year (group #2 happened on Saturday). I think we are going to have a lot of fun getting together and putting these pieces together to have it done by December!

Saturday, January 28 - I had so very many things to take a picture of today. First of all, I went to day 2 of the advent calendar group. It was a little more intimate than Thursday's and so so fun! I went straight from that to a Scentsy launch party for Shakelle Valdez (so excited!). Later this evening, Simon went to work the MACU booth at the Jazz game and I watched Amie's Eva and Weston while she and Quinn went to the game. I got pizza, baked cookie bars, and we watched "Alice Through The Looking Glass". Motherhood fail on capturing an image of this day!

Sunday, January 29 - In honor of the Super Bowl next week, I decided to do football nails!
