Jul 23 - 29

Monday, July 23 - Do we really have to leave paradise? I could just move all of my belongings to Catalina and stay forever!

Tuesday, July 24 - All good things must come to an end. We were happy to get home to the kids though and to get to spend the 24th holiday with them. My mom went and spent $100 on fireworks just so my kids could enjoy setting them off! She's too good to us!

Wednesday, July 25 - Of course, there is a story behind this picture! In the case above Jenny are the clothes that Joseph Smith was murdered in. It is hard to tell with them lying down how tall a man he was so Jenny volunteered to lay on the floor for comparison reasons. I couldn't help but snap a quick pic of her lying there with all the girls around looking at her. :) Haha, we have fun!!!

Thursday, July 26 - As part of my motivation and things to do to get my business rolling again, I decided to get out all of my old testers and make samples. After all was said and done, I made over 800 samples of current and discontinued scents to give out! Stay tuned for an upcoming open house at my home to get rid of these!

Friday, July 27 - In the middle of everything else Simon has going on, our washer is going out. It just started spitting oil out so Simon thinks the bearing will soon break. Instead of waiting for that to happen and then being without a washer, he was proactive and watched KSL for a good deal on new ones. He went out and found a new set, which I love, so it is time to get rid of these old ones.

Saturday, July 28 - I don't know if Simon is in love with all of my great home improvement ideas but I think he at least agreed with this one. The basement door used to swing into the basement and into what will soon be the kitchen. Because of where the switches are when you come down the stairs and because of how big our landing is at the bottom, I suggested that we take the door out and flip it in the opposite direction. He pulled the door, frame and all, out today. So now, instead of the door opening to the right and into the basement, it will open to the left and into the stairs/landing. I know for sure we will like this better...once it's done. :) Super glad I'm married to a handyman that can do these things!

Sunday, July 29 - Sundays are my hardest day for collecting a picture. I'm not sure why but most Sundays are the same as the week before, unless we're celebrating a birthday at Sunday dinner. Anyway, I took pictures of the Bishop's lesson because it was so good! I wanted to capture it for Nick and for me for the future. It was based on President Nielsen's recent devotional to the youth of the church and such a great reminder of what we should all be doing!
