Sep 24 - 30

Monday, September 24 - Cleaning up from the trip today, I accidentally spilled the majority of a box of cereal but lucky for me, it landed in a box and I was able to just dump it away and keep working.

Tuesday, September 25 - Guess who is getting braces!?!?! This kid has some seriously messed up teeth! Can't wait to slap braces on him and get this going!

Wednesday, September 26 - The combined activity tonight was the "Missionary Activity". This is an annual tradition where the kids get mission calls, companions, and go out to teach a family in our ward a missionary lesson. I was so glad Nick got to participate this year. He had a really good experience.

Thursday, September 27 - Another one bites the dust. He finally got rid of the two teeth that he cracked, chipped, and discolored. Hooray for second chances with teeth! :)

Friday, September 28 - Simon is working hard on the basement! He has been putting up the lights and wiring the outlets and it is sure coming along. The kids are thrilled to get hall lights again so they don't have to run through the basement at night in the dark!

Saturday, September 29 - We're only a few months late but dad and mom took us out for my birthday dinner. I chose Olive Garden this year and got my favorite thing on the menu - the Chicken Parmesan. It was super fun having a date night with these two. Love my parents!

Sunday, September 30 - We had dinner at my parent's house tonight. As we were out back (the weather was gorgeous), the sunset took our breath away. It was so beautiful! Looks like tomorrow will be a great day!

Sep 17 - 23

Monday, September 17 - This was our first day of bowling at the new time - 9:30 am. I am super excited about the change of time! Afterward, we went to Firehouse Subs for lunch with these lovely ladies. It was a good start to the week!

Tuesday, September 18 - Sweet Kam got a "blue thumb" today! He had a trigger thumb so they had to go in and release the tendons. As you can see from him eating his lunch, he's doing fine. :) Cute boy!

Wednesday, September 19 - Cafe Rio Wednesday!!! We sure do have fun!

Thursday, September 20 - We headed out of town at 8:00 this morning for Lake Powell. Chick-Fil-A is offering free entrees with any purchase so we stopped in Spanish Fork for a little chicken and then headed on our way. We arrived around 3:30 and got all set up at camp!

Friday, September 21 - Fun day at Lake Powell! We kayaked, boated, dug in the sand, and relaxed. So much fun with some great families!

Saturday, September 22 - We all hopped in cars and went to see Horseshoe Bend. It is amazing and breathtaking! I couldn't believe that this railing was only installed last year! It is so high and there are places you could just step off the side of the mountain. It's crazy but so beautiful!

Sunday, September 23 - It was really sad packing up and getting ready to leave. :( The kids (and the parents) had SO MUCH FUN at Lake Powell! On the way home, the kids were talking about what we would do next year when we come!

Sep 10 - 16

Monday, September 10 - Tonight was the Blackridge Elementary Color Run. This is a fundraiser the school does each year to generate the money to go on field trips and do special events at the school. My kids love it but it's kind of a mess to clean up from! :)

Tuesday, September 11 - All the orders for my Last Chance, First Glance Scentsy party came in today so now it's time to sort them and get them delivered.

Wednesday, September 12 - We did a missionary prep activity for Young Men/Women combined. It was a rotating demo of simple tasks that the kids will need to know to move out & go on missions. Things like sewing on a button, ironing, simple cleaning, etc. Of course, I got stuck in the kitchen with the kids teaching them how to make grilled cheese sandwiches and chop onions! The goggles really help but I think next year I will suggest chopping something like green peppers! :)

Thursday, September 13 - At preschool, the Herriman Fire Dept came and gave the kids tours of their fire truck. Miss Angie said that this was the only picture she got because they didn't get a chance to get a class picture. How cute is that!?! This afternoon, I took Nick to get two teeth extracted. They are his last two baby teeth and neither one would have come out on their own so he had them pulled. This was his first time with laughing gas and he was pretty funny!

Friday, September 14 - These three cute girls have been doing a lot together lately. This is Taylor Ernest, Kendra, and Savannah Erickson. They all went to watch Savy's brother play water polo. Cutest cheerleaders in town!

Saturday, September 15 - There are several scary fires burning all across Utah. One that has evacuated Auntie Sue's house and burned more acreage than Utah County! A fire was sparked in a field by a kid playing with a smoke bomb and it ended up burning down two homes and a barn. So tragic! Andrea and I took our old presidency out to Daybreak to take photos of them. It was a promise we made them if they all completed their Personal Progress by the end of June. Of course they did! They are wonderful girls who know more about the gospel in their teenage years than I know now. They are amazing and inspire me!

Sunday, September 16 - We celebrated Kenny's birthday at Sunday dinner. I can't believe my baby brother is 28 years old! I am so proud of him and all he has accomplished since he began his road to recovery. He's turned into a pretty awesome guy!

Sep 3 - 9

Monday, September 3 - The Olson's had us over tonight for a Labor Day BBQ. The kids had lots of fun playing and running around the park behind their house and the parents had a good time visiting! Simon was able to finish painting the basement ceiling so that is coming right along too! I couldn't be more thankful for good friends to spend these holidays with!

Tuesday, September 4 - On Sunday, we finally gave Kam his birthday present (nothing like 2 months late!). Katie has sent me several pictures since then showing me that he will not get out of his new robe! She said he is obsessed and wants to wear it all the time. Oh man, I love that kid!! :)

Wednesday, September 5 - This isn't the greatest representation of what we did but at Young Women's, I taught a cake decorating class. It was super fun but I always feel like I'm racing the clock! This little cake showed them how to torte the cake, fill it, frost it, cover it with fondant, and write on it. It was a multi-purpose cake! Haha! It was a fun activity.

Thursday, September 6 - For some reason, I wasn't feeling great today so I spent most of the day lying around. By evening, my kids were going nuts! Luckily, these cute boys rang on the doorbell and asked if Zack could play. He was thrilled to have buddies to play with and I was happy that he was doing something besides waiting for me to get up and play.

Friday, September 7 - This day did not quite go according to how I thought it would...but it was good. I woke up to a text from Zack's teacher asking if I was still planning on coming in this morning. Oops, I went last week thinking that I was on the schedule and I was actually on the schedule for this week! So, I got up, got Ricki and I ready, and went to the school from 9-10. We got home, got situated, and I started soaking my nails off when I got a call from my sister. She was stranded at my kids' school (where she picks up Eliza) because he car wouldn't start. We tried jumping it but it finally took Kenny coming to the rescue and tapping on the starter to get it started. She was happy we got it started but didn't know what to do because she had a neurology appointment up at the U. We dropped her van off at home and I took her up to her appointment. She was so super quick! The little girls and I were going to go get lunch while we waited but instead, she had her appointment and we all went to Wendy's together. It maybe wasn't the ideal way to hang out but it ended up being a nice day spent with my baby, my sister, and my niece!

Saturday, September 8 - Comedy night at the Timp Storytelling Festival at Thanksgiving Point. We grabbed some Cubby's for dinner, set up our chairs, and enjoyed an evening of friends and laughter. It wasn't our normal date night but so much fun to do something different and so fun to be with friends.

Sunday, September 9 - This kid should have lost this tooth about 3 weeks ago but he has been SO stubborn about it! When I saw how wiggly it was at church, I told him that thing was coming out before bed! He was crying and freaking out but I told him it was time. I reached in, gave it almost no tug at all, and it came right out! He is relieved that it is done but I have bad news....check out the tooth right next to the missing one. It doesn't have much longer before it needs to come out too!

Aug 27 - Sep 2

Monday, August 27 - Ricki and I walked the kids to school this morning. On the way, she was complaining that her side hurt so I figured she just had a side ache. When we got home, she said her tummy was sick. I took her temp and it was a little elevated but not too high. She ended up falling asleep for 3.5 hours on the couch and seemed to feel much better when she woke up. I'm glad we didn't have too much going on today!

Tuesday, August 28 - I spent a lot of time today listening to this book on my phone so that I could finish it before book club tonight. I didn't quite make it but I finished it about 20 minutes after book club started so I was okay with that. It was a cute story but I didn't really love it.

Wednesday, August 29 - Back at the ball field! I just love watching this boy play! He is doing pretty well but I wish he could get a few more hits. I am always impressed how much he improves each season though. He seems to really be having fun too! We love baseball!

Thursday, August 30 - I am kicking myself for not taking any pictures of my set up or party but it was great! I had people here non-stop all evening and it was a good party! Plus, I got rid of a lot of those pesky samples/testers that I was hoping to get rid of! :)

Friday, August 31 - While I was at Chick-Fil-A having lunch with Callie Farley, these cute first graders were being rewarded with lunch in their classroom with their teacher. They loved every minute of it and Zack couldn't contain his excitement when he was telling me about it!

Saturday, September 1 - We are ready to paint! Wahoo!!!!! Simon has been doing some mudding touch-ups but is finally ready to start painting. His buddy, Kevin from work, let us borrow his paint sprayer so Simon started on the ceiling. He was able to do a full coat on the entire basement before he had to come up and shower for Zack's birthday dinner. I was thankful that he showered cuz...he was scary! This evening, we had the pleasure of taking our Zacky boy out for dinner. He requested Pizza Pie Cafe because he loves the Oreo pizza. Cute boy! We loved being out with him!!

Sunday, September 2 - We got to go to the McCullough's again to celebrate! This time, Jake received the Aaronic Priesthood and became a Deacon. We also celebrated his birthday with dinner, cupcakes, and gifts. Love these McCullough boys and we are so thankful Jake pulled through his illness and made it to this birthday! He is doing great now and we couldn't be more grateful!
