Sep 10 - 16

Monday, September 10 - Tonight was the Blackridge Elementary Color Run. This is a fundraiser the school does each year to generate the money to go on field trips and do special events at the school. My kids love it but it's kind of a mess to clean up from! :)

Tuesday, September 11 - All the orders for my Last Chance, First Glance Scentsy party came in today so now it's time to sort them and get them delivered.

Wednesday, September 12 - We did a missionary prep activity for Young Men/Women combined. It was a rotating demo of simple tasks that the kids will need to know to move out & go on missions. Things like sewing on a button, ironing, simple cleaning, etc. Of course, I got stuck in the kitchen with the kids teaching them how to make grilled cheese sandwiches and chop onions! The goggles really help but I think next year I will suggest chopping something like green peppers! :)

Thursday, September 13 - At preschool, the Herriman Fire Dept came and gave the kids tours of their fire truck. Miss Angie said that this was the only picture she got because they didn't get a chance to get a class picture. How cute is that!?! This afternoon, I took Nick to get two teeth extracted. They are his last two baby teeth and neither one would have come out on their own so he had them pulled. This was his first time with laughing gas and he was pretty funny!

Friday, September 14 - These three cute girls have been doing a lot together lately. This is Taylor Ernest, Kendra, and Savannah Erickson. They all went to watch Savy's brother play water polo. Cutest cheerleaders in town!

Saturday, September 15 - There are several scary fires burning all across Utah. One that has evacuated Auntie Sue's house and burned more acreage than Utah County! A fire was sparked in a field by a kid playing with a smoke bomb and it ended up burning down two homes and a barn. So tragic! Andrea and I took our old presidency out to Daybreak to take photos of them. It was a promise we made them if they all completed their Personal Progress by the end of June. Of course they did! They are wonderful girls who know more about the gospel in their teenage years than I know now. They are amazing and inspire me!

Sunday, September 16 - We celebrated Kenny's birthday at Sunday dinner. I can't believe my baby brother is 28 years old! I am so proud of him and all he has accomplished since he began his road to recovery. He's turned into a pretty awesome guy!
