Mar 21 - 27

Monday, March 21 - I did Viv's nails this morning and she motivated me to do St. Patrick's Day nails. I do enjoy having my nails done for specific events...like holidays. :)

Tuesday, March 22 - Liz sent me this today and I thought it was kind of awesome! And so so true!

Wednesday, March 23 - So many big things happened today! First of all, Gary & Alexis stayed overnight at the hospital to make sure they were all prepared for this best day ever...Brooks came home! We are so happy for them and him. They can finally be a complete family under one roof now! Later this afternoon, I dropped Nick off for his first official shift working at Chick-Fil-A! He had kind of a hard start tonight (he didn't love it like he thought he would) but I'm sure as he sticks in there, he'll be great at this job! Luckily, there was a fun surprise for him on the porch when he got home. He got answered to prom! :) Also, we have Lauren (Anderson) Sargent's kids for a couple of days. They are super sweet boys - Taysom and Beckham. 💕

Thursday, March 24 - We are loving having these boys here! Ricki is having fun playing with Taysom and bossing him around. Poor little Beckham hasn't been feeling great so we went in and laid on my bed. Within about 2 minutes, he was fast asleep. I'm enjoying these sweet boys!

Friday, March 25 - We were so sad to drop the boys off to their grandma in Lehi today. :( It's been busy having them here but we've enjoyed every minute. Kendra has been so helpful keeping them entertained and spending time outside with them. Hopefully we get to see them again soon!

Saturday, March 26 - It's Tea Party day!!! The theme this year was Fairy Garden and mom did such an amazing job!! We had a lunch that was perfect, including gnome cookies with strawberry hats. Then we each made fairy gardens to take home. We had so much fun! The girls were in absolute heaven using their crafty skills to make their gardens. Mom is so great! Later this afternoon, Ricki got to go to Savannah Upshaw's birthday at Airborne. She had a blast there too and enjoyed every bit of this fun day!

Sunday, March 27 - We are reading about Joseph of Egypt right now in the Old Testament so we watched "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" tonight at mom and dad's house. It was fun because I know the story so well now but it was super cheesy! Haha!

Mar 14 - 20

Monday, March 14 - Nothing makes my heart happier than to see my kids in the kitchen cooking together. Love this!! 💕

Tuesday, March 15 - I love this! We are faced with lots of "opportunities" in our lives right now so this is uplifting!

Wednesday, March 16 - Knowing that I'm leaving first thing in the morning for St. George for Girl's Trip, I asked Kendra to braid my hair so that it would be crimped

Thursday, March 17 - After we all got kids out the door, Marisa came and picked me up then we went and got Meg and Jenni. As tradition dictates, we stopped at Lehi Bakery on our way out of town. Then we, of course, made a stop for lunch and ice cream at The Creamery in Beaver. We made it to St. George in the afternoon and had the rest of the day to relax and have fun! We had dinner at George's, one of our favorites!

Friday, March 18 - One of our regular eateries, 25 Main, went out of business so we found a new place that we loved. It is called The Farmstead and Marisa found it on Utah Foodie. It was so yummy! We had sandwiches and desserts and man, they were good! We spent the day shopping and exploring St. George then ended the afternoon with dinner at a Mexican restaurant called "Paula's Cazuela". After that, we and saw "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" at the St. George Theater Company. It was so cute! They did a good job!

Friday, March 19 - We did a lot of exploring today. We started out at the Saturday Market at Tuacahn, which was super fun! We went to lunch after we shopped at Morty's. Then, we went to the Red Hills Desert Garden to walk around and explore. We also explored the red rocks up there and found a slot canyon. We were all too chicken to go all the way to the top but we did sit and watch some rock climbers in the crevice of the canyon there. Tonight we watched a movie and stayed up a little too late knowing that we're driving home tomorrow! Good times!

Saturday, March 20 - We got up and cleaned this morning then went to brunch at Bishops...yum! We got on the road around noon and headed home. It was a good drive and we only hit bad weather for a few minutes between Cedar City and Beaver. It was so fun to go but it's good to be home with my family too.

Mar 7 - 13

Monday, March 7 - When it rains, it pours! I have had some emotional struggles in this past week and on Saturday I ended up coming down with a cold. At first it was just a scratchy throat. Then I started coughing. Today, I called in sick to work and spent the day, miserable, in my bed! I took an at-home Covid test and that was negative. Around 5:30, Marisa showed up with dinner! She is so great!! It was soothing to both my belly and my soul to have a hot dinner show up at my front door! She's a good friend!

Tuesday, March 8 - Because I was so sick, I asked if I could do my counseling session online. I hate to do that but I needed to talk to my Counselor, Amy, but I also wasn't up to going to her office today. Besides that, I had to help drive kids to the movies for Nick's birthday party (they went and saw "Uncharted") so it worked out perfectly. I did really good not to cry...until right at the very end! :) I needed it today though so I am thankful for technology and the ability to meet with her even from my own office at home!

Wednesday, March 9 - Zack and Kendra tagged along to Nick's birthday party yesterday very last-minute and this little sweetie was feeling a little left out. So we went to Fizz today, got her her favorite drink, and then she also was able to get a candy bar out of me when we stopped at the store for some quick groceries. I sure do love this blue-mouthed angel of mine!

Thursday, March 10 - What a day! First of all, it was finally the Battle of the Books (BOB) competition at school. I still wasn't really feeling up to being there yet but I went because I've worked with these kids all year to get them ready for today. I wasn't going to miss it! After helping with BOB from 8:45-11:30 and then working my shift at the school, I came home and slept for a solid two hours! Ricki's dinner choice for this week was crepes so we made those and everyone was in heaven! Around 9:00, Nick came home with a whole posse of boys and asked Kendra to help him write a poster to ask a girl to the prom. This is what they came up with. It was pretty cute! He asked a girl named Gabby. (although, read on a few weeks. He didn't actually end up going with Gabby.) It was a pretty eventful day for a Thursday!

Friday, March 11 - Viv, Nick, and I went to Costco to buy some fruit and supplies we needed for Alexis' baby shower tomorrow. As we were walking through, I noticed a Cutco display. We stopped and let the guy suck us in to his sales pitch. However, I didn't need to be sucked in! I want Cutco knives and we are completely without a knife set right now so it seemed perfect! Well, perfect except for the price! For some reason, Simon wasn't super keen on the idea of spending $1,200 on a knife set. Why?!?!

Saturday, March 12 - We started our day out in the best way possible. Kendra, Viv, and I went to Alexis' baby shower for baby Brooks. It was so fun and her sister, Skylar, did such an amazing job! The decorations were beautiful, the food was so yummy, and everything just turned out perfect! I'm so happy Brooks is on the up and up! This afternoon, we had a primary activity. We "shamrock attacked" doors in our ward. So basically, we cut out a ton of shamrocks, had the kids write love notes on them, then taped them to 8 people's doors in our ward. So fun!

Sunday, March 13 - First of all, happy birthday to Viv! :) It was Daylight Savings so we had to move the clocks forward an hour. I don't usually love that but with the logic of losing an hour of winter, I suppose I'm okay with it! Haha! Viv asked for cinnamon rolls for dessert and we celebrated her, Nick, and Gary's birthdays at dinner. Thankfully, I'm feeling back to normal and ready to get back to regular life.

Feb 28 - Mar 6

Monday, February 28 - Mom and dad are off on a luxurious cruise to the Caribbean! I'm so jealeous...as we sit here it Utah in snow!

Tuesday, March 1 - Happy fabulous 40th birthday to my dear friend, Jen Moon! This rowdy crew all went to Leatherby's to celebrate her big day with her. I'm still not 100% comfortable being here but I'm faking the smile until I really mean it. I was glad to be there for Jen though. 💕

Wednesday, March 2 - This is Alexis feeding Baby Brooks his first bottle. They are trying to get him to eat on his own so that he can go home soon! He's doing great!

Thursday, March 3 - When I was painting my nails today, Ricki kept coming in asking me to cut holes in these socks. Next thing I know, she's writing on it with Sharpie. She came in with this fashion concoction and asked me if I liked it! Of course I do! She's a little fashion designer in the making!

Friday, March 4 - I had a bad day yesterday. We are having some "teenager problems" (Kendra). I woke up to this morning to this text from my sister. It was just what I needed to lift my spirits and have a much better day!

Saturday, March 5 - This little lady does not know personal space boundaries. When I was sitting at my computer, she climbed up in my lap, grabbed my phone, and insisted on a selfie. I love my little lady!

Sunday, March 6 - Happy 16th birthday Nick! We had fondue in honor of his big birthday and topped it off with peanut butter bars for dessert. It was such a great night together with this guy!
