Apr 18 - 24

Monday, April 18 - It's Spring Break this week so we decided to steal mom and escape to St. George. Simon still had to work but he did that from the house while mom and I took the kids to play. The first thing they wanted to do was go swimming at the community pool. Then, we went to the dinosaur park, played, and rode the train. When Simon got off work, we went to Gunlock Reservoir and did some exploring. It was so fun, great weather, and perfect family time!

Tuesday, April 19 - We took the kids on a hike this morning. It's one that we've never done before. It was called the Temple Quarry Trail. It was a cute little hike that ended at the rock quarry that they used to build a lot of the original buildings in the area as well as the temple and tabernacle. It was cool! After lunch, we went over to the Brigham Young house and took a tour. Mom and I enjoyed it but by the end, the kids were pretty done.

Wednesday, April 20 - We wanted to go to Bishop's while we were here but not without Simon. After his morning meeting, Simon took a little break and we went for breakfast. It's so good and oh so filling! We spent most of the rest of the day swimming. First, at the community pool across the street from the house. Later, we went to Bob & Laura's and used their pool for a little while. Their pool is beautiful! It was another great day in paradise!

Thursday, April 21 - I've told Kendra about the Crepery a few times but we've never been able to go before. I took just her to breakfast this morning at the Crepery and she loved it! I was thankful for some one-on-one time with my girl! Mom & I took the kids to the Tabernacle for a tour. It was really really interesting! We even got to go in the basement and see where they hand-dug out the space for the basement. So cool! We played at the park next to the Tabernacle for a little while but it wasn't as fun and exciting as I remembered it from when the kids were little. Haha! :) When Simon got off work, we went to the slot canyon near the Dixie sign in the red rocks. Most of us were too chicken to go the whole way but Kendra and Zack made it all the way to the top! Brave kiddos!

Friday, April 22 - The kids have been begging to go over to the church by the house and drive. We finally gave in this morning. Kendra drove first, followed by Zack on Nick's lap, and finally Ricki drove on my lap. Silly kids! They loved it! We went to the pool again for a while but then came back in time to shower and get ready for the evening. As soon as Simon got off work, we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We can't believe that our time is already coming to an end. We have to leave first thing tomorrow because Zack has a soccer game tomorrow afternoon. What a fun trip! I'm glad we were able to make it!

Saturday, April 23 - I'm just a little bit jealous about these pictures! Jenni and her family are in California over this Spring Break. They were able to make plans and meet up with Ahmad and his family to meet them. I can't wait to meet them so I'm only a little (like 100%) jealous of this! :) They are so sweet, they sent gifts home with the McCullough's to give to our family. I love them already!

Sunday, April 24 - These are some sad pictures. First, Nick has had these awful sores in his armpits and I think we finally figured out what they are! They are chemical burns from Old Spice deodorant! I can't believe that there would be a product on the market that would do this to an armpit! Secondly, I got this picture from my mom this morning saying that Kayla is on her way to the hospital. She hit her head on the coffee table and gashed her head open. Poor baby!! As you can see in the second picture of her, she was pretty happy after she was all stitched up and had some Oreos. Oreos make everything better! :)

Apr 11 - 17

Monday, April 11 - Poor Kendra fell in the shower today and hit her ear on the side of the tub. It bruised inside, on the rim, and behind her ear. Ouch!!

Tuesday, April 12 - So it's April...and it snowed...and the snow stuck to everything...in April! Grrrr! This afternoon, I Zoomed in to my co-worker and friend, Megan Perry's, mission call opening. She is going to Belgium! I am so happy and excited for her! She goes this August.

Wednesday, April 13 - I am so thrilled that after 16 years of dental appointments with kids, we've still never had a cavity! That doesn't mean they haven't had dental work but at least they are doing preventative maintenance and saving us money! We won't talk about my teeth, however!

Thursday, April 14 - Today was early-out day for the kids so after school, we stopped to get Kendra, dropped Zack and Ricki off at Jenni's to play with Halle and Brielle, then went to lunch with Grandma Sharon, Grandma Sandi, and Jenni. We did this because Grandma Sharon had a super good coupon at JCPenney so we went over to see what deals we could find. And we found a few! I wanted Kendra to come because her birthday is tomorrow and she wants to pick out some clothes. We didn't find anything that she liked though.

Friday, April 15 - Happy 14th birthday to my sweet Kendra! This afternoon, she and I went on a special date. We went to the mall to find her an outfit. She has been asking for black "boyfriend" jeans since Christmas so we went to Pac Sun for those then H&M for a shirt. Her request for her birthday dinner tonight was Chick-Fil-A. She hadn't eaten there the day before, just got a shake, so we agreed and had dinner at CFA. I hope this girl had the best birthday ever! She has a bright future ahead!

Saturday, April 16 - It's Easter time! We started our day off at my parent's church at their annual egg hunt. They put it on mostly for grandkids of the ward members because there are only something like 10 kids in the primary! After the hunt, we went over to their house to dye eggs. I am more thankful than ever for these traditions, after missing a couple of years for Covid. After the eggs, and hands, were fully dyed, we went to lunch at Las Glorias. I love these special traditions!!

Sunday, April 17 - Happy Easter! We started the day at church and had a very nice service, including the primary kids and young women singing for us. After church, Dave & Viv came over to visit and bring the kids a little treat. Then, over to the Howard's for our annual egg hunt and traditional Easter dinner. It was so fun! Like I said, just love love traditions!

Apr 4 - 10

Monday, April 4 - Mom came to get her nails done this morning and we realized we all three having matching nails! Like grandma, like mom, like daughter! So springy!

Tuesday, April 5 - This seems like an odd picture, I know, but today was an important day for me! I called in October to get an appointment with my Neurologist and was told that she was retiring at the end of 2021 and didn't have any more appointments available. However, not to worry, her predecessor, Dr. Rastogi is starting the first day in February so would I like an appointment with him? Sure! Well, my end of February appointment was cancelled by the office because "your insurance hasn't approved him as a primary physician yet". Grrrr! FINALLY, I went to an appointment with him today! He changed up my meds in hopes that they will relieve my migraines or if not, we can go down the Botox route. Either way, I really liked him and I'm glad I have a neurologist again!

Wednesday, April 6 - Simon has been working hard to get the garage all cleaned out. He has a thing about stuff on the ground so he likes it all hanging. He took pictures of his amazing work on this wall. Everything off the ground and the garage floor clean!

Thursday, April 7 - Bunco night!! We took a new picture because the one that is on the FB group right now was taken at Katie and Kenny's house (haha!) and EVERYONE was in attendance at this Bunco! Yay! I love Bunco night!

Friday, April 8 - We were supposed to get together with the Frasers for a game night but Simon vehemently vetoed that! Instead, we met over at Iceberg and hung out eating ice cream for an hour or so. It was a pretty nice night so although we look cold, we were actually quite comfortable.

Saturday, April 9 - Tonight was Nick's first ever prom! He took this cute girl named Whitney Robinson and they had a great time with this super fun group! Funny enough, they went to Chili's for dinner and then about an hour later, we went there with Dave & Viv. They were gone by the time we went but it would have been funny to run into them. It was a good night for everyone!

Sunday, April 10 - Tonight was the night to celebrate Nick and Kendra with the Howard's. Nick was super happy to find out that he got the car stereo that he has been asking for. I had him convinced that he wasn't getting what he asked for so his reaction was really cute. I just love having everyone over. It brings joy to my heart to bring our families together. :)

Mar 28 - Apr 3

Monday, March 28 - The Primary Presidency went out to dinner to Salsa Leedos just as a team-building activity. I went to go to the bathroom and check out who I saw a picture of on the wall. It's fun to see our friend, Kevin Thacker, out in the community. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the girls and I.

Tuesday, March 29 - I took Kendra to an orthodontist appointment this morning and she tried so hard not to cough while we were there. She has had a cough for weeks now and I was worried that it wasn't going away and seemed to be getting worse. We went to the InstaCare before I took her back to school, just to make sure it wasn't pneumonia or bronchitis. Fortunately, the doctor said it was just a product of having asthma and that her lungs sound great. She still went to school, just a little later than planned.

Wednesday, March 30 - I ordered this in hopes that it would come in time for conference weekend. It's a temple paint-by-number and I'm so excited to get it started!

Thursday, March 31 - We are getting into the swing of soccer again! The boys had a scrimmage game tonight to get back into the game.

Friday, April 1 - Kendra begged me to go to get her a Swig so after she was done with school and I got home from work, we went and got us a Swig. :)

Saturday, April 2 - It's been a big day! We watched the morning session of conference and then I went to donate plasma again. Then, we watched the afternoon session of conference and headed out to Gary & Alexis'. Simon and I finally got to meet baby Brooks in person! He is so tiny and so so sweet! We love him so much!

Sunday, April 3 - We had a birthday celebration at our house tonight for Nick and Kendra's birthdays. At first, Gary & Alexis weren't going to come because Brooks just got home. However, they decided to come and just had us keep the kids kind of far away from him. We were so glad they came! The kids had a super fun birthday party and enjoyed the evening!
