Apr 11 - 17

Monday, April 11 - Poor Kendra fell in the shower today and hit her ear on the side of the tub. It bruised inside, on the rim, and behind her ear. Ouch!!

Tuesday, April 12 - So it's April...and it snowed...and the snow stuck to everything...in April! Grrrr! This afternoon, I Zoomed in to my co-worker and friend, Megan Perry's, mission call opening. She is going to Belgium! I am so happy and excited for her! She goes this August.

Wednesday, April 13 - I am so thrilled that after 16 years of dental appointments with kids, we've still never had a cavity! That doesn't mean they haven't had dental work but at least they are doing preventative maintenance and saving us money! We won't talk about my teeth, however!

Thursday, April 14 - Today was early-out day for the kids so after school, we stopped to get Kendra, dropped Zack and Ricki off at Jenni's to play with Halle and Brielle, then went to lunch with Grandma Sharon, Grandma Sandi, and Jenni. We did this because Grandma Sharon had a super good coupon at JCPenney so we went over to see what deals we could find. And we found a few! I wanted Kendra to come because her birthday is tomorrow and she wants to pick out some clothes. We didn't find anything that she liked though.

Friday, April 15 - Happy 14th birthday to my sweet Kendra! This afternoon, she and I went on a special date. We went to the mall to find her an outfit. She has been asking for black "boyfriend" jeans since Christmas so we went to Pac Sun for those then H&M for a shirt. Her request for her birthday dinner tonight was Chick-Fil-A. She hadn't eaten there the day before, just got a shake, so we agreed and had dinner at CFA. I hope this girl had the best birthday ever! She has a bright future ahead!

Saturday, April 16 - It's Easter time! We started our day off at my parent's church at their annual egg hunt. They put it on mostly for grandkids of the ward members because there are only something like 10 kids in the primary! After the hunt, we went over to their house to dye eggs. I am more thankful than ever for these traditions, after missing a couple of years for Covid. After the eggs, and hands, were fully dyed, we went to lunch at Las Glorias. I love these special traditions!!

Sunday, April 17 - Happy Easter! We started the day at church and had a very nice service, including the primary kids and young women singing for us. After church, Dave & Viv came over to visit and bring the kids a little treat. Then, over to the Howard's for our annual egg hunt and traditional Easter dinner. It was so fun! Like I said, just love love traditions!
