Mar 20 - 26

Monday, March 20 - We are reading a book for Book Club called "The Midnight Library" and I really loved this quote. It hit me because it's easy to forget to do the small things in order to bring about the big things. Love it!

Tuesday, March 21 - Simon and I are silly. Sometimes we send each other pictures of what we are eating. Haha! :)

Wednesday, March 22 - This is my inspo picture. I have been busy all day making cookies for the Utah Cookier Event. I didn't bother to take pictures because I was in the zone! :) See tomorrow's post for how they turned out.

Thursday, March 23 - These are my cookies for the event! I am happy-ish with how they turned out. The colors ended up running a little so by the time I put them in the bags, I felt like they seemed soggy. I will keep that in mind for next time. Yay though, I'm ready!

Friday, March 24 - Tonight, we had the privilege of being in the Cummings' home to watch Meg open her mission call. She has been called to the Micronesia Guam mission. I can't believe that! She is going to do awesome! She is a great girl that comes from a wonderful family!

Saturday, March 25 - Today was kind of insane! Zack had his last indoor soccer game so Dave came with us to that. Ricki was invited to Savannah Upshaw's birthday party so we dropped her off there. Simon then took over the family responsibilities because I went to the Utah Cookier Event. It was AMAZING!!!!!! I loved every second of that! Dinner was provided at the event so Simon took the kids to Chick-Fil-A to have dinner with Nick on his break. Phew, what a day! What a GREAT day!

Sunday, March 26 - We celebrated Nick and Kendra's birthdays with the Pearson's today. We enjoyed our visit with them and we learned that Livi is a daredevil! She kept flipping off the end of the couch onto Kendra. Haha! I love this crew!

Mar 13 - 19

Monday, March 13 - Happy birthday to Viv today! We love Grandma Pearson! She does so much for our family and especially the kids. They adore her and Dave so we hope she had the happiest of birthdays!

Tuesday, March 14 - I was supposed to go to the temple with Jenni, mom, and grandma. However, Ricki was sick this morning and needed to stay home. Simon was in the office today so I had no choice. I had to stay home with her. :( That's okay though, I enjoyed the snuggles!

Wednesday, March 15 - Zack let me know that he needed BBQ sauce and fry sauce for tonight's Young Men's activity at about 6:45. Good thing we had BBQ sauce and Chick-Fil-A sauce in our fridge already! The boys had to roll Oreos down this board and whichever sauce they landed in, they had to eat that Oreo with that sauce on it. Yuck! The boys loved it!

Thursday, March 16 - This was a little out of my comfort zone but I did it anyway. We are having an "airplane" primary activity on Saturday so I had to do a video as a flight attendant to tell the kids what we were doing and what countries we were visiting. Like I say, it wasn't within my zone but I think it turned out kind of cute. :)

Friday, March 17 - Oh what a day! I got a call earlier saying that Jake was taken by ambulance to the hospital from school today because he had a grand mal seizure during gym class. They rushed him to the ER and they ran some tests but they weren't able to determine at this time what caused the seizure. Against my wishes, we went forward with our plan to go swimming with mom tonight. I didn't think a kid that had a seizure in the same day should go swimming but BJ was there and on full alert at where he was and how he was doing. It was a fun evening, without incident, and we ended it at Menchie's for frozen yogurt. Yum!

Saturday, March 18 - The big primary activity was today. I think it turned out so great! Simon presented his country, Britain, and Dave & Viv brought a sample of Yorkshire pudding for the kids. There were also presentations on Korea, France, Russia, and Brazil. It was really cool! Tonight, Kendra had a Hope Squad night at the Jazz game. She, plus one guest, got into the game free so she took Simon. They had a blast! What a great and happy day!

Sunday, March 19 - I got this awesome water jug from Costco this week. It is so great because it helps you drink water throughout the day as well as makes sure you get 64 oz of water in a day. Awesome!

Mar 6 - 12

Monday, March 6 - Happy 17th Birthday Nick! Silly boy worked tonight and I didn't really see him until 11:30 pm so I never got a picture of the birthday boy. We had homemade pizza for dinner and I must say, they are getting better and better. I like our crust recipe and I'm starting to make them more round than they used to be. Yum! When Nick finally did come home from work, he told Simon his car was making a funny noise when he drove it. Simon went to inspect and found his bumper partially detached plus a big dent on the underside of the bumper. Upon further questioning, we found out that instead of parking in a space with no snow, he wanted "his space" so he bumped into a snow mound and then proceeded to keep going on the gas so his car went up the embankment. Well, that was fine and dandy until he backed up and the snow pulled his bumper back! It's a good thing it's his birthday...

Tuesday, March 7 - My kids watch YouTube videos and get brilliant science experiment ideas. I don't even remember what she put in this but I think it was oil, water, food coloring and maybe salt? Whatever it was, I was glad we put a bowl under it! Otherwise, it would have been a huge mess!!

Wednesday, March 8 - I signed up for an event coming soon! It's typically for professional cookiers but I am an aspiring cookier so that counts, right?!? :) I am so excited just to go meet everyone and talk to ladies that I admire in this industry. Can't wait!

Thursday, March 9 - Today was the Battle of the Books competition. I always volunteer for this - it's my favorite school activity! I was in the classroom with Mr. Dastrup and I got lucky, Zack's team had a round in that room! It was so fun to watch them compete but in the end, neither of them made it to the finals. It doesn't matter though. It is just a fun exciting event to be a part of!

Friday, March 10 - I took a sub job at Kendra's middle school today. It was so funny, this teacher had a TON of The Office stuff. I got a kick out of it all! The bonus to the day was that Kendra stopped by my classroom between almost every class to say hi. I love my sweet girl!

Saturday, March 11 - Kendra and mom have been reading at night over FaceTime. They read the book "Jaws" together and when they finished it, they had a sleepover to watch the movie. Kendra loved the book and the movie plus all that time with Grandma! So fun!! 💖

Sunday, March 12 - We celebrated Viv's birthday tonight. It was fun to be together. And Nick got to soak in the baby loves! Brooks loves Nick and he was just clinging to him. I had to grab my phone for a quick pic! Who knows if he'll love Nick so much when he's a little older. :)

Feb 27 - Mar 5

Monday, February 27 - Still SO snowy! It's seriously scary driving around right now. I don't like this Utah weather!

Tuesday, February 28 - Today was my last day at Livy & Kate. It's bittersweet. I feel bad for leaving and I still want to be friends with Aimee but I have to move on to something different now. I also feel bad leaving things in such chaos but I guess it will always be this way, no matter when I leave. Goodbye boutique-ing. For now anyway.

Wednesday, March 1 - Kendra came home from Young Women's tonight with this lovely painting. They have done a lot of painting activities lately and she normally loves to paint but tonight, I think she was just kind of over it. I don't think I'll be putting that up on the wall anytime soon! 😄

Thursday, March 2 - Today was my first day at my new job! I am a substitute teacher for Jordan School District. Luckily, my first job was for Lisa Jensen and I am teaching a group of kids that I know pretty well! It was a good experience and I hope I like what I'm doing. It's perfect for being able to plan my own schedule and work when I want to work!

Friday, March 3 - When it's cold in the house and you don't want to unwrap from your towel to get pj's on so you wrap up in a fluffy blanket instead!

Saturday, March 4 - This was another epic Tea Party for the books! Mom did a donut theme and it was so so cute! The coolest thing was that mom crocheted a ton of donuts and gave each girl 6 to keep! They are amazing!! She puts so much time and effort into these tea parties! We love going each year and doing this together! Great job mom!!

Sunday, March 5 - We had Sunday dinner at the McCullough's tonight to celebrate Halle and Brielle's birthdays. Halle is now 12 and Brielle is 10! Sweet girls! We all went into Jenni & BJ's room to check out their new wall (behind the bed) and their new bed. It's a Sleep Number and each side can move independently of the other. The heads raise, the feet raise, and you can almost fold yourself in half on it...as the children discovered! Haha! This was a fun night!
