May 22 - 28

Monday, May 22 - We got to go out today to celebrate Meg's birthday! We went to Cubby's and Marisa made her this super yummy cake! Fun times with these gals! Also, look what arrived! It's my birthday present that Simon didn't know he bought me! :) It's a new Apple iWatch. Happy birthday to me too!

Tuesday, May 23 - The school sent us an invitation to Kendra's 9th grade awards night. She didn't realize it but she was getting not one one, but two awards! One for being on the Hope Squad for all three years and the other for her high GPA. I am so proud of this girl! She is awesome!

Wednesday, May 24 - Zack graduated the D.A.R.E. program today. It was so fun to watch him in the program singing the songs, getting his certificate, and high-fiving his friends that graduated with him. Congratulations Zacky!

Thursday, May 25 - Wow, this week has been busy! We started out at 6:45 at an awards breakfast because Nick was awarded Student of the Month! Hooray Nick!! Then, this afternoon, we went to a season-end team picnic for Simon and Zack's team. I made specialized cookies for each team member as well as the coaches. :) What a great day!

Friday, May 26 - We headed out of town for our annual Bear Lake trip. Our first stop was Hometown Drive-In for dinner. It was super yummy...and expensive! Haha! The sunsets here are so beautiful!

Saturday, May 27 - What an eventful day at Bear Lake! We started out at the pool while the weather was nice and it was somewhat nice. We wanted to walk around some of the cute little shops in town so after everyone was done swimming, the girls went shopping. I found a cute hat for mom's birthday and Kendra bought a sweatshirt that she loves! This afternoon, we had a scary experience. Kendra thought she had accidentally eaten a nut and sure enough, she did seem to have a reaction. We quickly gave her Benadryl but she did throw up. Luckily, we had children's Benadryl so it absorbs quickly and gets into the system as early as when it is being swallowed. She ended up being fine but she was super drowsy after all that Benadryl. Poor girl! It's so scary! We celebrated Grandma's birthday tonight because she and Jim are going home tomorrow. We had a yummy BBQ, gave her gifts, and then sang.

Sunday, May 28 - Happy birthday to Grandma Sharon! We sure do love this little lady and we are so thankful to have her in our lives! Today was pretty relaxed. Most of the family headed over to play Pickleball while a few of us stayed back and watched a movie (and possibly took a little nap). I love vacationing! It's so relaxing!

May 15 - 21

Monday, May 15 - Happy birthday to me! :) I met my faves at Aubergine in Mountain View Village for lunch to celebrate my bday. Check out that gorgeous cake Marisa made me! It was amazing! I feel so loved and spoiled today!

Tuesday, May 16 - Check out these awesome earrings Marisa gave me! They are made from Diet Coke cans!!!! So awesome! I wore them to my birthday dessert night at The Chocolate Cafe. We celebrated mine and Catherine's birthdays. This was fun and it felt nice to get a little back to normal.

Wednesday, May 17 - I made a quick 2-hour stop at the DI today. I really need a shirt for our upcoming family pictures and I just feel so discouraged with my body, weight, and clothes, I needed something I was going to feel good in. I have shopped online, at the stores I frequent, but leave it to the DI to have the best shirt for me!

Thursday, May 18 - My kids gave me this Kiss shirt for Mother's Day so I had Nick take a picture of me in it to send to Kenny. He loves Kiss so I thought he would think it was fun that I got this shirt. :)

Friday, May 19 - First thing this morning was "Dads and Donuts". Simon loves going with the kids to the school and the kids love to show him their tricks on the playground while he's there. Then, a little later in the morning, Ricki was knighted to the multiplication table by her principal, Mr. Butler. Way to go Ricki!

Saturday, May 20 - We had our last soccer game of the season in Park City today. We won, which was awesome! I couldn't help but include the picture of Zack making a sweet goal! Gooo Copper Mountain!

Sunday, May 21 - We celebrated my birthday at my parent's house tonight. I got so many fun things! My parents gave me a pink tool kit, Jenni & BJ gave me a Maverick gift pack, and the Muffett's gave me a shirt and gift card. I love my birthday! It is just so fun!!

May 8 - 14

Monday, May 8 - I don't know if I have posted about this already but I am working for Liz again! I am her photography assistant and I am loving it! I have enjoyed working with the model moms again and especially working with Liz!

Tuesday, May 9 - Kendra had a second hearing test today to confirm the results from the other Audiologist and get the ball rolling toward a resolution/hearing aids. This one was done by Primary Children's Hospital and they actually said that she has mild/moderate hearing loss in her right ear but moderate/severe in her left. I am so sad about this but also glad we are getting it figured out!

Wednesday, May 10 - Simon let me know on Sunday that he needed a craft for their combined young men's/young women's activity tonight. They want to make something for Mother's Day. After much Googling and Pinteresting, I decided they should do custom magnets for their moms. It's useful, it's cute, and a pretty inexpensive craft. I think it turned out well but I did spend my entire day running around getting the supplies to make it all come together.

Thursday, May 11 - Mirinda Losee has had a hard week. First of all, her cat left and hasn't come back and if you know Mirinda, her animals are her life. Then, we found out tonight that we are being released as a Primary Presidency. :( Change like that is hard so I thought she needed a basket of sunshine to cheer her up. :) This afternoon, I went to the school to see Zack's 5th grade play. It was really cute and creative! Good job Blackridge 5th grade!

Friday, May 12 - Simon buffed out the scratch on Nick's car and tried to pop the dent out the best he could. We don't really want to go to a body shop that is going to charge an arm and a leg for work on a teenager car. We don't want to have Debbie have to pay for that. I think we'll leave it as-is. It really looks pretty good! Tonight, Kendra and Payton were hanging out and they wanted a treat so I surprised them and took them to the new Handel's at Mountain View Village. So yummy!

Saturday, May 13 - We tried to plan a primary activity in conjunction with the Herriman Pedal Palooza this morning. We only had the presidency's families plus one other family come. :( That's too bad because it was really fun and Ricki got a nice new bike helmet for free! She had a blast hanging out and going around with the Horne kids though. Tonight, Henry had a soccer tryout at the RSL facility in Herriman so Ashley asked if we could watch the girls. Of course! Love those kiddos!

Sunday, May 14 - Happy Mother's Day to all of the mammas! I sure do love this crew here and am so thankful to be able to be their mommy!

May 1 - 7

Monday, May 1 - How appropriate are these beautiful flowers for the first day of May! I love them! They make my heart happy every time I see them!

Tuesday, May 2 - Sweet Kaylee Price opened her mission call tonight and our family went to watch. She was called to the Lubbock, Texas mission, English speaking. I am so happy for her and her decision to serve a mission. I lovingly refer to Kaylee as one of "MY Young Women". :) Love her!

Wednesday, May 3 - I was in my kitchen this morning when I heard a strange noise like a radio playing. Next thing I knew, there was a box of cookies on my porch. :) Look at that nice note they sent to Simon. Nick and I were so thankful at lunchtime that Simon is such a great employee! Haha!

Thursday, May 4 - Us girls met at Zao today for lunch. Meg's mom is going through a lot of medical problems right now so we had a good chat about how she is doing and what they are dealing with. I feel so bad. That has to be so hard watching your mom's health decline. I'm glad we could do this today!

Friday, May 5 - Zack had holes in the bottoms of his shoes...again...so we went to Famous Footwear this afternoon to get him some new ones. Ricki really wanted to go too and asked if we could stop by Sodalicious. I'm a pushover when it comes to my kids! :) At Famous, Zack found these awesome Nike's and Ricki was dead-set on some pink Nike's for her. It was an expensive shopping trip but they're outfitted for shoes for a while now.

Saturday, May 6 - Soccer, soccer, and more soccer! ⚽ I really love it but man, these competition games are stressful! Great game boys!

Sunday, May 7 - We just called Ben Printy to teach in the primary so our Chorister, Debbie, felt like we should haze him this first week. :) Remember the pictures of me getting the "musical measles"? Ben got them today! :)
