Aug 21 - 27

Monday, August 21 - It's back to school for the big kids today! This is the first day of Nick's senior year and Kendra's first day of high school! They didn't love that I got up at the crack of dawn to go outside and take their pictures but I had to. This is my last time doing it with Nick...at least until college. :) While they were gone, the littles and I took advantage of our last full day together and we went bowling. We stopped at Crumbl to get Kendra some cookies, stopped at Smith's for balloons, and went home to make a poster so that we could embarrass her when she got off the bus. Just like Nick, she was a really good sport.

Tuesday, August 22 - It's the first day of school for Ricki in fourth grade and Zack in sixth grade. I always love to go take pictures of the kids but thanks to the wild weather we're having, it was an inside day. That made it impossible to take anything but a quick pic before they went into their classroom. I'm excited for them that school is back in. They both do super well with the structure and routine of school.

Wednesday, August 23 - My family is on a cruise in Alaska right now. I've seen a few pictures here and there and I gotta say, I'm jealous. :) They look like they're having a great time! We had bunco tonight. (Yes, it's on a Wednesday this month rather than Thursday because in this bunco group, we don't keep the dates that are planned. Grrrr!) We were at one of the girls' parent's backyards and it was amazing!!! Seriously so beautiful! The gardens looked like they belong in Disneyland. It was so fun to go around and look at it all.

Thursday, August 24 - I guess this is my life now. Exercising in the morning and eating rabbit food for lunch. At least my rabbit food is SOOOO delicious! I don't mind that at all!

Friday, August 25 - Jenni and Trevan went together on this cruise. He didn't really go on a senior trip or anything so she felt like this would be a good chance for him to get a trip. Plus, it would provide some really great one-on-one time with him. I'm glad they are having so much fun and seeing this beautiful country of ours!

Saturday, August 26 - It was Copper Mountain night at the RSL game so we went with our soccer friends. We had such a great time and even ran into BJ's nephew. What a fun night!

Sunday, August 27 - We had dinner with the Pearson's tonight. The girls are always wanting Kendra to take them to the park and it worked out tonight so she did. She took a bunch of pictures of Liv. She can't get over how darling she is! She also took this one of the girls walking. She is a good sister and cousin and it shows! These girls love her!!

Aug 14 - 20

Monday, August 14 - When Simon was out back, he noticed that the ground was kind of wet near our patio. Come to find out, one of our pipes underground was broken and leaking water. He spent several nights working on it and got it fixed.

Tuesday, August 15 - It was "Family Night" at the Bee's game so we went with this fun group. We let Kendra and Zack bring friends since Nick was working and Ricki would have Bridget. We had lots of fun! I love the excitement of a live baseball game!

Wednesday, August 16 - Eating like a bunny and feeling good! I'm in it right now and I can't wait to see results...both on the scale and with my headaches. Crossing my fingers.

Thursday, August 17 - Summer is quickly coming to an end so we are trying to get in as much fun as possible. It was awesome at the Provo Rec Center today. The Utah County schools have already started school so we had the place to ourselves! I want to come back and do this every year!! The kids had a great time and I enjoyed being there with them!

Friday, August 18 - While we were in Layton for Zack and Simon's soccer tournament, these cute boys were sneaking into our house and putting 10 LIVE goldfish in our bathtub to ask Kendra to Homecoming. :) She is so excited to not only be going to high school but also to be going to her first dance and date with Carter Price. I'm so excited for her! And excited that we won tonight's soccer game 6-0! Yay!!

Saturday, August 19 - What a tournament! Our boys played their hearts out and did soooo great! They were undefeated going into the championship game but thanks to overtime and PK's, we lost by 1. It was such a bummer but they played so well, 2nd place didn't feel too bad. Plus, we lost to another Copper Mountain team so at least CM swept the tournament!

Sunday, August 20 - My kids thought they were hilarious at Ethan Romero's homecoming lunch when they kept putting ice on Simon's back and waiting for it to melt. :) It was just us at dinner tonight and I had to take a picture of these four - all involved heavily in their electronics. I took the picture then demanded phones get put away.

Aug 7 - 13

Monday, August 7 - Kendra had a wild hair and made these ginormous cookies! :) Yum! In the meantime, Ricki was painting in my office and came out to tell me that she spilled a little paint on the carpet. Not sure how this is "a little paint" but I was able to get most of it out using rubbing alcohol.

Tuesday, August 8 - Zack is guest playing in a tournament this week so I took him to his game in North Salt Lake this morning. When that was over, we met this crew at the movie theater to see the new Barbie movie. I was so excited that Nick was willing to come with us and I felt bad when the movie was less than awesome. The girls liked it though and it was fun to be together. After the movie, we went to a couple of Parade of Homes houses. What a fun day!

Wednesday, August 9 - I started seeing a Nutritionist and the first item of business was to get me exercising again. I have been coming down for about a half hour and walking and/or jogging on the treadmill. We really need a new treadmill but for now, I'll use what I've got.

Thursday, August 10 - We got together again to do more Parade of Home-ing. It was super fun and we saw a lot of houses along the way. It seems like Salt Lake County is getting only interested in building high density homes that have three or four floors on top of each other. It's interesting.

Friday, August 11 - I made these fun birthday cookies for Julie Clayton in our ward. I auctioned off cookies for our youth fundraiser and she was ready to cash it in this weekend for her birthday. I hope she likes them!

Saturday, August 12 - Marisa had tickets to the Parade of Homes this year too so we headed out to try to see a few more before the Parade closed today. I took a bunch of goofy pictures but my favorite is my "Jenni look-alike" pic of sitting on furniture holding a sign that reads, "Don't sit on the furniture". Haha!

Sunday, August 13 - Celebrating my sweet kiddos with the Pearson side today was perfect! They got presents, dinner, and spoiled! We had a great time and it was extra fun being outside. It got a little rough when the boys decided to try to light a fire with an emergency bracelet...and succeeded. Haha! They had lots of fun!

Jul 31 - Aug 6

Monday, July 31 - I went to rip off a page from the calendar Amie gave me and I couldn't help take a picture of this. This describes me to a T! I want to be invited to ALL the things but I don't actually want to go out and do anything. Haha!

Tuesday, August 1 - I have been working my fingers to the bone trying to get my office cleaned and organized. I have been wanting to label everything for a long time so I finally pulled the Cricut out and made the labels. I am so happy with how it turned out. It's not perfect but it's organized chaos and it's MY organized chaos. :)

Wednesday, August 2 - Ricki and Brielle are in swimming lessons right now so I met Jenni and mom at the pool. Cute little Kam and Kayla are here with their Gammy, Heather, so we get them for a few days. Our plan was to do swimming lessons and then go to a public pool. However, when the lessons were over, Jenni went in and asked her good friend, Katie, if we could just stay and swim here. She is pretty much the sweetest so she was happy to let us stay. We stayed there, got Cafe Rio for lunch, and swam until black clouds rolled in and we felt like we had to get out. We had so much fun!

Thursday, August 3 - After Ricki and Brielle's swimming lesson got cancelled due to bad weather, we made a plan to go to Thanksgiving Point instead. Jenni couldn't go with us so we met up and got Halle and Brielle and took them, with Grandma Sandi, to the Museum of Curiosity. They had a riot running around the museum and just being together. Unfortunately, Zack and I had to leave a little early but Kendra and Ricki stayed with mom. Zack had a soccer game at 5:00 and then we met up with mom and the kids at a ward primary party at their neighbor's pool. Lots of swimming time with these sweet kiddos.

Friday, August 4 - Since swimming lessons were cancelled yesterday, she did a make-up day today. Mom met us again at the lesson and brought Kam and Kayla. We took them with us for the day. Zack and Simon were in the Murray Max tournament so the kids sat with us through the first game. Between games, Heather Hitchcock came and picked up the kids. It's so hard to say goodbye to them each time they go back but it is so fun to have them while they're here. Between games, we grabbed some lunch and checked out the main soccer field. They had these booths there and I found this hat. Love it! :)

Saturday, August 5 - Look how pretty our gate and cement are! It's finally completely done, gates are on, and the trailer and quad rack are back there. It's so big, it's amazing! Yay for crossing a project off our list!

Sunday, August 6 - Oh Ricki! What are you doing with my phone in sacrament meeting?!?
