Feb 6 - 12

Monday, February 6 - My dear Simon is working hard to get the big wall in our family room patched up and painted. He had to climb over the fireplace to get clear into the corner. Tonight, we had dinner then family night and then he started working. It made for a late night for him!

Tuesday, February 7 - My parents rock! Mom came and picked up the boys right after work today. She picked up the McCullough boys too and they went home to have pizza for dinner. Afterward, they all (dad too) went to the movies and saw "Monster Truck". The boys came home so happy and excited to tell us about their special night! These are the best memories that they will have forever!

Wednesday, February 8 - We went with Jenni and her girls to Cafe Rio for our favorite tostada special. Despite Zack's silliness, Ricki was pretty grouchy and sad. :( She was getting sick, poor thing. But those lashes!!!

Thursday, February 9 - For the first time in what feels like years, we had all of our permanent bunco players at bunco! It was a very fun evening. Erin and Samantha did a great job!

Friday, February 10 - She wasn't feeling well on Wednesday, she was really yucky on Thursday, but Friday, she was just miserable. We had two really rough nights. (Simon even slept with Kendra because she was up so much in the night.) So I called the doctor first thing and got her in. She has bronchiolitis which is basically bronchitis in young children usually cause by the RSV virus or Adenovirus. He also said it could cause croup-like symptoms and to be very careful because not only is it very contagious, it also easily turns into pneumonia and she is borderline. Well, if you know me and know our medical history with Nick, you know that the scariest words you can say to me are Adenovirus, croup, and pneumonia! She will also start antibiotics for fluid on both ears. This little baby with the big blue eyes is a mess!

Saturday, February 11 - I love this picture of our Valentine party! There was a lot of conversation, happiness, and laughter. I am so glad that this is our new party tradition. I love having my friends gathered in my home!

Sunday, February 12 - Halle came up to me a couple of weeks ago and said, "Aunt Heather, will you  make my birthday cake?" How does one say no to that!! They requested a unicorn cake so a unicorn cake they got! It got a little lopsided on the drive to their house but they both liked it so that's all that matters! Happy birthday Halle and Brielle!

Jan 30 - Feb 5

Monday, January 30 - This old van has been so good to us! I can't believe we've already hit 140,000 miles! It has it's issues...like the automatic doors no longer work and my seat doesn't heat up anymore BUT, it's still a great car and a smooth ride. HOping for another couple of years!

Wednesday, February 1 - Happy birthday to our sweet Halle! She's 6 years old today! We celebrated with Grandma, Jim, and Jenni at Chick-Fil-A.

Thursday, February 2 - I had the fun opportunity of volunteering at Kendra's 3rd grade marketplace. I was in charge of "personal care" items. She was supposed to dress up as a car salesman. We didn't mean to match but it was kind of fun that we did! :)

Friday, February 3 - We FINALLY sold our kitchen table! It's been on KSL for sale since November. A cute lady and her adult son came and she loved it! We didn't get as much as we were hoping for but we're happy to have it gone. Now Simon can pick up our new table!

Saturday, February 4 - Liz, Amie, and I went downtown tonight for dinner then saw "Lala Land". I liked the movie until the end. I loved the company I was with though!

Sunday, February 5 - Superbowl 50! Atlanta Falcons vs. New England Patriots. Atlanta was ahead for almost all of the game. Right toward the end, the Patriots caught up and tied the game. For the first time in Superbowl history, the game went into overtime. Of course, the Patriots won the coin toss and therefore won the game 34 to 28.

Jan 23 - 29

Monday, January 23 - My cute mom invited us over tonight for dinner and family night. We talked about Lehi, Nephi's father and the trials he went through. Then, we watched a slideshow of pictures that dad made of 2015. After that, we played a super fun game with candy. I plan to duplicate this game at my upcoming Valentine's Day party! :)

Tuesday, January 24 - This may have been our most controversial book club ever. Although we all have happy smiley faces on here, this turned into drama central! Luckily, I think it's all worked out and we're excited to move on and enjoy book club next month!

Wednesday, January 25 - So proud of my Nick boy for graduating from the D.A.R.E. program today. Nick and I have had many serious discussions about drugs, alcohol, and substance abuse. D.A.R.E. played a big role in my life and in making decisions about drugs and alcohol in my teenage years. I have shared my experiences with him as well as many talks about Uncle Kenny and Aunt Katie's struggles. I pray he continues on a healthy and righteous path in these next few critical years.

Thursday, January 26 - I'm not normally a "foodie" nor do I generally take pictures of my food. However, I snapped this yummy pic because this is one of my very favorite dinners. It is like chicken noodle soup but rather than noodles, I replaced them with tortellini! Although the recipe didn't call for spinach, I threw in a handful and this dinner was delicious and pretty healthy (minus the tortellini!) Thanks mom for introducing me to the world of tortellini!

Friday, January 27 - We have started a once per month advent calendar group. I LOVE my advent calendar that Jenni made me so much, I wanted to share it with the ladies in my ward. This is our very first meeting for the year (group #2 happened on Saturday). I think we are going to have a lot of fun getting together and putting these pieces together to have it done by December!

Saturday, January 28 - I had so very many things to take a picture of today. First of all, I went to day 2 of the advent calendar group. It was a little more intimate than Thursday's and so so fun! I went straight from that to a Scentsy launch party for Shakelle Valdez (so excited!). Later this evening, Simon went to work the MACU booth at the Jazz game and I watched Amie's Eva and Weston while she and Quinn went to the game. I got pizza, baked cookie bars, and we watched "Alice Through The Looking Glass". Motherhood fail on capturing an image of this day!

Sunday, January 29 - In honor of the Super Bowl next week, I decided to do football nails!

Jan 16 - 22

Monday, January 16 - Grandma Sharon gave me a brand new pressure cooker cookbook at bowling today and since I hadn't planned dinner yet, I used it to cook dinner tonight! We had beef stew. It was good, not great, but I'm excited to have some new ideas for my Instant Pot!

Tuesday, January 17 - Nick and I spent quite a bit of time today finishing up his super awesome U of U Pinewood Derby car. He took 13th place out of 25 and was thrilled about that placement!

Wednesday, January 18 - We had plans to go to lunch with Gma and Jim last week but with sick kids, we had to cancel. We postponed until today and all of us were healthy! Simon met us too so we went to the Chick Fil A in Jordan Landing. We love making these sweet memories with our grandparents!

Thursday, January 19 - We haven't been to Jenni's for lunch in such a long time, we had to go over today! We sat and hung out after lunch for a while and it was just like the good ole' days! :)

Friday, January 20 - My sweet mom has wanted to take us to Leatherby's for ice cream ever since Simon helped get dad's car radio installed. It was a while ago! We were able to make it work tonight and oh my, it was worth the wait! Their ice cream is the best!!

Saturday, January 21 - We had an impromptu dinner with my family at Las Glorias. Everyone was there...Kenny, Katie, Kam, Mom, Dad, and the whole McCullough family! Our family is getting huge! It was so fun though!!

Sunday, January 22 - We were having a rough time in sacrament meeting with this sweetie so I took her out. We sat in the rocking chair in the mother's room and she fell asleep quickly. I even took a video of her snoring! 1:00 church is so hard with a baby that naps at 1:00 every other day of the week!

Jan 9 - 15

Monday, January 9 - Aren't electronics great? Look at all of them! Grrrrrr!

Tuesday, January 10 - We had a day at home so my cute princesses went downstairs to play. When they came up, this was how they were dressed. :) Nick had a rough day though. He was sitting on the couch playing the Wii U game pad when a pillow was unexpectedly thrown at him by Zack. The pillow hit the game pad which hit him in the head. He ran in my room laughing and asking if he had a goose egg...yep!

Wednesday, January 11 - The kids have been a little stir crazy while being off track so we decided to go to the Curiosity Museum today with Chase and Erin. Within the first thirty seconds, Ricki fell and hurt her foot then limped around the rest of the day. Otherwise, we had lots of fun with our friends!

Thursday, January 12 - My poor Ricki girl cried out at 6 am this morning and came in our room complaining that her mouth hurt. I figured that meant a sore throat but before long, she started throwing up. She had a fever and threw up all day. Luckily, she did eat dinner and keep that down so I think and hope we're on the mend.

Friday, January 13 - It's always a good time to craft! I bought a heart-shaped wire wreath form and this ribbon at the dollar store and have been itching to put it together. I finally got it done. I love Valentine's Day!!

Saturday, January 14 - Kendra and I had a really fun outing. We went to Katie's bridal dress appointment. We saw her try on several dresses and fell in love with one of the very last ones she tried on. She is coming back again next week to make sure she loves the one she chose and to finalize the payment. Yay! We're moving on with plans!!

Sunday, January 15 - Yay! I got all of my jewelry making supplies that I ordered over the internet. Each member of my Scentsy team will get a necklace, a Scentsational Sunrise charm, and a monthly birthstone when they hit our monthly goal. I'm excited to get started on this.

Jan 1 - 8

Sunday, January 1 - Happy New Year! We finally got around to celebrating Grandpa Jim's birthday today...only a couple of weeks late. :) We love our Grandpa Jim!!

Monday, January 2 - While this isn't actually my own picture, this is how the streets looked driving home from bowling. I was terrified and my poor off-track children got to hear how scared I was. We almost didn't make it up a hill in Sandy. In fact, police were out helping push people up the hill! We did make it there and all the way home. It was a huge relief when we pulled into our driveway! Have I ever mentioned that I hate snow?

Tuesday, January 3 - Before, middle, and after. Kendra got her first round of braces on today which includes an expander on the top. She was so excited to get braces...I'm afraid she's in for an unpleasant and painful surprise!

Wednesday, January 4 - Happiest of birthdays to my daddy! He's been sick but thankfully feeling better today on his birthday!

Thursday, January 5 - Kendra and Ricki had well child visits today. Ricki was 60th percentile for height and 63rd percentile for weight. Kendra, who is finally back on the chart, was about 40th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. These are some healthy and happy girls!

Friday, January 6 - Now that Ricki is out of her highchair, we needed four bar stools rather than three...I got tired of all the arguing over who has to sit at the table. Simon has been watching KSL for months with no avail - until today! He found these beauties in Provo so I ran out and got them. They are perfect for what we need!

Saturday, January 7 - As per our annual tradition, daddy took us all to dinner. Unfortunately, our regular place, Golden Corral, shut down so we went to Chinese Gourmet instead. It was so yummy! I love this picture of grandpa and his grandkiddos.

Sunday, January 8 - Dad's birthday week continues! We had his birthday dinner tonight at their house. It was fun to be together and celebrate dad!
