Monday, July 27 - Cute Kendra and Mailey Moon are in charge of our upcoming Young Women's activity so we spent some time together today creating the invitations and handouts for it. They were so creative and came up with everything by themselves. I told Jen (Mailey's mom) that they will be great leaders when they are older!
Tuesday, July 28 - Mom had today off work and wanted to meet up with us so we went to the Herriman Splash Pad. She brought pizza and bread sticks and met Jenni, Katie, all the kids, and I there. It was so fun just to sit and visit, watch the kids play and have fun together, and, of course, snuggle with my favorite little Kayla girl! Oh man, she steals my heart!
Wednesday, July 29 - You may be wondering why Jenni and BJ's new boat is my post for today. Well, it's because I plan to have PLENTY of fond memories in it! Haha! We are so happy for the McCullough's and their recent acquisition of this gorgeous boat. We can't wait to go out on it with them!!
Thursday, July 30 - Marisa and Meg finally convinced Jenni and I that the drive to Provo was worth their rec center water park. They were so right! It was a really fun water park with indoor and outdoor slides, kiddie pools, and even a wave pool! We got this group together and all went down their for a few hours. The kids had so much fun!! When Jenni and I were standing alone near the wave pool, Jenni leaned over to me and said, "Isn't it fun that we have this little group of people to hang out with?" I've been thinking about that a lot since she said it and I wholeheartedly agree! It is so fun to have these friends that I can just be myself around and hang out with. Love them all!
Friday, July 31 - These girls!! Bridget came over to play and they decided to use the dress-up bin. Next thing I knew, I looked out the window and they were both wearing wigs that my mom crocheted for Ricki! So cute!!
Saturday, August 1 - It just wouldn't be summer (even during a pandemic) without the long, hot, and miserable yard sale each year! :) We did it again at Jenni's house and had an amazingly good turnout! Simon came and hung out with us this time which was both fun and very helpful. At the end of it, mom was the winner earning herself about $100! Grandma Sharon and us made about $50 and Jenni got about $40. Overall, I would say it was a success! And hey, win-win cuz now the garage is cleared out too! Hallelujah!
Sunday, August 2 - Yah, we're a little late on this party celebrating Zack and Ricki's birthdays with the Pearson's. We were going to do it on July 24th but we had a little family COVID scare so we postponed until today. If you can see it in the pic of Zack and Henry, Zack had a little incident before everyone got here...thus the blood on his forehead. Simon asked him to go open the gate so that everyone could come out back. As he was pushing the gate open, it got stuck on some grass but because he had momentum and his head down a little, when the gate stopped, he hit his head on the latch pin that closes it. He came running and screaming with blood all over his hand and running down his face. My first thought was great, he'll be getting stitches while everyone else celebrates HIS birthday! However, once we were able to wash the blood off and really look at it, I didn't think it required stitches. It was deep but small so we took the risk and didn't take him in. He had ice on it for about an hour though. Poor guy! Overall, everything else went great thought and we had a fun evening!
