Monday, October 12 - Today is Columbus Day so Simon had the day off. Once Nick got home from school, the two of them took off and went riding at 5-mile pass. They only rode for a few hours but they had a really good time. I'm glad they had the chance to go do that together.
Tuesday, October 13 - Since we are almost a dissolved presidency, we decided to go out to dinner as one last hoorah. Unfortunately, Stephanie may have Covid so she wasn't able to come but the rest of us enjoyed our time spent together talking and reminiscing about the three years we've had this calling together. I love these ladies and am looking forward to what the next chapter for each of us will be.
Wednesday, October 14 - Well, this is sadly my last young women's activity with Kendra as her leader. We played kickball at the Splash Park with the Deacons. Everyone had fun and only Jenny, Marisa, and I were a little emotional saying goodbye to everyone.
Thursday, October 15 - This is what we look like (from my computer) when we have nothing going on on a Thursday night.
Friday, October 16 - We had appointments for Ricki and Kendra to get haircuts from Bestie today. Kendra went ahead and got her hair cut OFF! It went from halfway down her back to shoulder-length! She looks so darling! Ricki also got at least 4" cut off but you almost can't tell because it is so long and beautiful still. :)
Saturday, October 17 - We had a fun day! We started with a small impromptu yard sale first thing. At 1:00, we met my family at the pumpkin patch for our annual Mabey Pumpkin Patch day. Afterward, not all but some of us went to Las Glorias for "linner". I love my fam!
Sunday, October 18 - We had an interesting Sunday dinner tonight. We have been trying to get grandma moved out of her house because Harlee is abusive and just basically awful but we finally did it today! Mom and dad picked up grandma under the pretense of Sunday dinner but really, they were picking her up for good! The top picture is of the boys taking care of Kayla while we had our intervention with grandma inside. The bottom picture is the look of relief on grandma's face when she realized that her new home would be here at my dad's house. My mom is going to take amazing care of her in these, her last months/years of life.
