Sep 18 - 24

Monday, September 18 - This was an eventful day! McKaylee and Austin Price both left for their missions and I just can't imagine how my mom heart would feel so I took her a comfort basket to help her get through. It had a journal, a pen, Sun Chips, Mambas, a New Book by Michelle Obama, chocolate, tissues, mint chocolate chip ice cream, a drink tumbler, Crystal Light packets, and a missionary mom necklace. I hope this brings her a little joy in this otherwise difficult moment in life. When we went to drop it off to her, I had to get a picture of Kendra and Carter. They are in Homecoming week so there is a theme every day. Today was "Monochromatic Monday". :) Then tonight, we had the Blackridge Elementary Color Run - our school's annual PTA fundraiser. The kids always have such a blast but man, it's a mess!

Tuesday, September 19 - Today's theme was Ken & Barbie. I can't think of two cuter kids for that!

Wednesday, September 20 - This morning was Marilyn's funeral. It was sad because she's gone but happy because we got to remember her and talk about/hear about fond memories with her. My most fond memory with Aunt Marilyn was when I dropped some Scentsy off to her and she invited me in. We took a little tour of her house and then got sodas and went out on the back porch to visit. She was a delightful woman and will be missed! Tonight for youth activities, the kids played "Where's Waldo". Simon was with Kendra and Payton so he got these cute pics with our camouflaged ward members. :)

Thursday, September 21 - So...I went to a workout this morning. It didn't go well! I had to leave early because I thought I was going to throw up! I'm glad I tried it though. It was hard...but I can do hard things.

Friday, September 22 - Simon, Zack, and Kendra went to the Mountain Ridge football game tonight. Kendra went and hung out in the student section so Zack and Simon sat together and had fun at the game.

Saturday, September 23 - Homecoming is here! Carter and Kendra looked so adorable! Love them! Nick went with Sescily and they are so cute too! I am so glad

Sunday, September 24 - We had another "Treats on the Street" activity tonight so we stayed home for Sunday dinner and went to this with our neighbors. I didn't take pictures but it ended with Zack, Ricki, and a bunch of neighborhood kids jumping into the Williams' pool! It wasn't exactly warm enough to be swimming but they didn't care! :)

Sept 11 - 17

Monday, September 11 - Today was a day of remembering where we were, what we were doing, and how we felt when our country came under attack. We will never forget the events of that day or the days of fear, anger, and eventually war that followed. The most positive outcome of this unnecessary tragedy was the patriotism that we felt following it. I love this nation and I am glad we recovered and are better than ever!

Tuesday, September 12 - Our dear Aunt Marilyn Wright returned to heaven on September 1, 2023. Her family is in mourning over her loss but also celebrating the wonderful almost 80 years we had with her. She was kind hearted and loving and she will be missed. I am thankful we had the chance to go to lunch with her in July for mom's birthday. Until we meet again...

Wednesday, September 13 - I had my yearly appointment today. I don't love it so I don't know why I seem to feel the need to take a selfie in the exam room every year. Haha!

Thursday, September 14 - I was flipping through Instagram tonight and a picture of my darling son popped up! They are using his cute face as a recruiting tool for Chick-Fil-A. :) When he got home from work, he had this fun poster waiting for him. Looks like him and Sescily will be having a blast at Homecoming!

Friday, September 15 - John Powell generously invited Nick and Simon to go fishing with him up at Strawberry Reservoir. This was a huge honor for them so Simon took the day off work and Nick took the day off school. They fished from sun up until sun down and had a blast with John!

Saturday, September 16 - After cleaning the church and a church primary program, we found ourselves here on the soccer field again. This was a really fun game and we won 3-1! Yay!

Sunday, September 17 - Sometimes the stress of the week just catches up with you and you have to close your eyes for a little while on a Sunday afternoon. :)

Sep 4 - 10

Monday, September 4 - Simon has been working hard trying to get our downspouts buried after doing the cement. He has dug a hug trench out to the rock wall to have the water divert as far away from the house as possible. While he was outside working on that, I was busy organizing all of my nail supplies. It doesn't seem like it should but it took forever to paint all the colors on the little fake nails that go in this new nail book I bought. I'm excited to have it all organized now though!

Tuesday, September 5 - Zack had a midday orthodontist appointment and my children seem to think they get a treat every time we go to the ortho. (That's my fault. I always take them for a treat. 😄) I did really well on my new health plan. I got Zack an ice cream but I didn't indulge. He's such a great kid though, he deserved a treat!

Wednesday, September 6 - Mom and dad had a ton of tomatoes this year. It may be their best crop yet! Mom said she's done canning them so she sent me the rest. I am happy to can them to have tomatoes all winter! Look how many jars I ended up with. Yay!

Thursday, September 7 - Nick asked Sescily to HOCO. They will have a blast!! :)

Friday, September 8 - Simon, Nick, and Zack had the annual "Crawdad Cookout" campout tonight. They go and catch crawdads, cook them up with other veggies and meats, and lay it all out on a table. Yum...not. :) I'm glad they enjoy doing it though!

Saturday, September 9 - Zack and Simon had a soccer game this afternoon. No rest for the campers! It worked out fine though because we won this game 4-1! Simon surprised me, after making a stop at Costco, with this garbage can! It doesn't look like much but I have been wanting one for a while now. The small can under our kitchen sink just isn't big enough for our large family so I am so excited to start using this giant one! Thanks babe!

Sunday, September 10 - We had Sunday dinner at the Pearson's this week and look how adorable this picture is! Zack loves little kids and little kids love him too! Love them!

Aug 28 - Sep 3

Monday, August 28 - I worked for almost two hours getting this kitchen cleaned up! I bought some new containers from Costco so I had to wash all of those plus just a bunch of handwash dishes that have been stacking up. I seriously spent so much time, I had to take a picture!

Tuesday, August 29 - I'm enjoying the new cooking and clean eating! Look how delicious our dinner was! Kayla Bosh across the street had her horse over tonight so Zack got to ride it. He loved it!

Wednesday, August 30 - Poor Kendra! We went in for another allergy test and it gave us some cool results. First of all, she's not as allergic as she used to be to most nuts. However, notice the top welt on her right shoulder next to 1. That is peanuts! She is still "deathly allergic" to peanuts. She's such a good sport about everything. Despite how itchy it is, she is a good sport about having to go through it.

Thursday, August 31 - I went over to help Kristy pack up her house and took a picture of this awesome oven shelf. I want one! :) My parents, grandparents, and Jenni & Trevan are on an Alaskan cruise right now and they went on a fishing adventure today. Lucky ducks!

Friday, September 1 - We are trying something new for dinner tonight. I am so thankful Simon is a master BBQ chef! :) They were yummy!

Saturday, September 2 - We had a fun day up at Swiss Days! Viv and Ricki joined us for the first time this year and we had a blast! I loved having my girls there! I think we will make this a tradition every year!

Sunday, September 3 - Kendra got some dresses to try on for the upcoming Homecoming dance. She looks adorable it both of them but I think she's planning on wearing the darker sparkly dress. :) Love it! Tonight, we celebrated Trevan and Jake's birthdays. It was a great day!
