Monday, September 11 - Today was a day of remembering where we were, what we were doing, and how we felt when our country came under attack. We will never forget the events of that day or the days of fear, anger, and eventually war that followed. The most positive outcome of this unnecessary tragedy was the patriotism that we felt following it. I love this nation and I am glad we recovered and are better than ever!
Tuesday, September 12 - Our dear Aunt Marilyn Wright returned to heaven on September 1, 2023. Her family is in mourning over her loss but also celebrating the wonderful almost 80 years we had with her. She was kind hearted and loving and she will be missed. I am thankful we had the chance to go to lunch with her in July for mom's birthday. Until we meet again...
Wednesday, September 13 - I had my yearly appointment today. I don't love it so I don't know why I seem to feel the need to take a selfie in the exam room every year. Haha!
Thursday, September 14 - I was flipping through Instagram tonight and a picture of my darling son popped up! They are using his cute face as a recruiting tool for Chick-Fil-A. :) When he got home from work, he had this fun poster waiting for him. Looks like him and Sescily will be having a blast at Homecoming!
Friday, September 15 - John Powell generously invited Nick and Simon to go fishing with him up at Strawberry Reservoir. This was a huge honor for them so Simon took the day off work and Nick took the day off school. They fished from sun up until sun down and had a blast with John!
Saturday, September 16 - After cleaning the church and a church primary program, we found ourselves here on the soccer field again. This was a really fun game and we won 3-1! Yay!
Sunday, September 17 - Sometimes the stress of the week just catches up with you and you have to close your eyes for a little while on a Sunday afternoon. :)
